The best service I could ask for. The yacht was in perfect condition and the staff was really helpful and friendly.

In overall, Istion as a charter company is very organised and very helpful in every aspect of your vacation!

The boat was in great condition and the staff super friendly and professional.

I would not use Istion again and nor would I recommend them. We chartered bareboat from Athens, a Hanse 415. It was nice enough but quite battered and had had a lot of use. We were charged €300 at the end for a broken outboard that we absolutely did not break. It was clearly old and it did not sound good when we got the boat and we barely used it. I would advise anyone using Istion to film/take photos/make notes and possibly email as you leave regarding all equipment you are shown - take your time. If you do not you could be charged on your return regardless of whether you had caused any damage. While check in staff on arrival were adequate although rushed, departure staff were rude and offhand. The whole unpleasant experience ruined the last evening of our holiday and I would not charter with them again.

Our experience with Istion Yacht charter is as follows:
Booking procedure, check-in, boat handover and introduction very good, quick, friendly even with free drinks in the shade etc.
- unfortunateky we have to state that the monohull sailboat Almyra is equipped for "nice - weather- sailing" only.
Only small, self changing fock and only two small winches in total.
These small winches are useless when there is tension on the ropes.
The main sail was fine, easy to set and to bring in 1st or second reef, although reef ropes were confisely knotted, which we could fix ourselves going through heavy wind and waves....
- unfortunately no automatic lifevests were on the boat, only zhe stiff old fashiond stff floating devices that nobody wants to wear.
-Electricity a total desaster!
Fuses failing because of corrosion,
Although two solar panels abo e the bimini we hat each evening low batteries alarm which made it necessary to keep main engin running to charge batteries.
-shorepower plugin possible but FI fuse immediately cutting power of.
Nice to have electric toilets that stop working without power, what a real nightmare. Also the sealings of the toilet water inlet must have been inproperly leaky as during nighttime water was leaki g into the toilet, filling ut slowly but steadily. Missing instructionsvto close the seavalve during nighttime....
So yes, the sailboat can be used for vacation with lots of compromises, but Istion shurly can do better than this.

We would like to express public our sincere thanks for our sailing holiday that was above expectations. The boat was comfortable and reliable and perfect for what we wanted.
Thank you also for arranging for us to have Andreas as our skipper. He was the perfect choice for us and we cannot speak too highly of him and his ability. He was a very capable skipper and we always felt very safe with him. We also enjoyed his company, nothing was too much trouble for him, and his suggested itinerary and places to visit were perfect.

A lifetime experience really ! Top quality top crew ! I loved it!

Great service, Beautiful yachts, Amazing people!

We chartered a monohull yacht from the Kos base with a skipper. Our checkin was very fast and we were allowed to leave the marina the same night (which last year using another company weren't allowed to do).

The yacht was impeccable, very clean and fully equipped. The skipper was very knowledgeable about the area and suggested a great itinerary that took us to Pserimos, Leros, Patmos and Arkious!

Overall, a very professional and pleasant experience.

Seven-day yacht charter from Lefkas last week. What a great charter company and what a spectacularly efficient team! Any minor hiccup was resolved in a stupendously fast manner, with politeness and actual active listening scoring the highest in long charting experience. Vessel-wise, the monohaul (Lux) we chartered was an absolute beaut ready for us by check-in time.

Top charter company in Greece, for 4 years we are using their services, always reliable and careful.

We wanted to change to a bigger and more comfortable boat after the first week of two weeks charter , for our boat has been in a very used condition inside.
We found an available boat at the same marina and would like to pay the difference of the upgrade, but
Istion insisted on the booking and we would only have been able to get the new boat by paying a complete new booking for one week

That’s not a way to make customers happy and returning …

We Sailed for two weeks out of Lavrion, Greece on Oceanis 51.

Our experience with check-in and check-out was excellent and efficient. Chrysa, who is the manager at Lavrion base, is very knowledgeable and made sure our skipper was updated with the condition of the boat (was one year old, so everything practically new)

Our skipper, Alexi, is very familiar with the Greek seas and knows secluded coves and mooring spots in all islands. In addition we also managed to visit multiple ancient sites in various locations! (it was not all plain sailing...)

Obviously we recommend Istion to anyone planning to sail in Greek waters. We also recommend two weeks is much better (previous few years we sailed one week at a time and was too short to enjoy)

FYI We are already planning our next year's sail with Istion!

Kos base.
Have been chartering boats from Istion since many years and from various bases. Overall the company does a great job and I especially like the team at their Kos base. Professional, friendly and personal. Just finished another charter from Kos and all was just perfect. Boat condition, cleaning, office staff, base manager, remote support with minor issues while we were sailing, the whole team. It is great to be back and see the familiar faces again. Already look forward for my next charter with them!

Der Segel Törn mit der Oceanis 51.1 ONAR wurde zu einem herrlichen Motor Törn. Das Segeln wurde uns durch schlechte Segelführung schon sehr bald vermiest. Sonst sehr schnell zu bewerkstelligende Segelmanöver uferten zu minutenlanger Quälerei aus. Das Problem mit den Segeln war Istion, dem Vercharterer, wohl bekannt und wurde bei Bootsrückgabe auch durch Istion bestätigt. Im Nachhinein leugnet dies jedoch Istion ab!!! Das ist uns bei über 100 Törns noch bei keinem Vercharterer passiert!
