IWeb Share Dealing Reviews 

Have been with Iweb share dealing since its inception and then after being taken over by Halifax/ Lloyds bank and finally now with Scottish Widows. After being taken over by Scottish Widows, definitely the customer care and support have fallen. The incidences where chat support seemed to be ignorant of the facts or procedures became more frequent. Even, when the market is closed, from 7.00am onwards, you may not be able to cancel or alter trade deals, no chat support or telephone services are available leading to execution of deals for which Scottish Widows won't take responsibility.

From login to trading, the interface is so abysmal. Clearly whomever designed this abomination has never tried using it. With the increase in the FSCS limit it is now possible to leave.

Help via chat is great. since name change there seems to be communication issues when requesting ISA transfers. before name change did not have any problems. to be fair online chat is very good.
HAFSA was very friendly and understanding.

BACS for cash withdrawals, took the full 3 days. What decade are we living in?

I am a pensioner and I decided to enhance my existing annuity to cover the extra burden of inflation. So I submitted a request to cash in a large part of my Iweb SIPP on about 15/9. It was loaded onto their Embark transfer system on 26/9. Today 23/10, almost 6 weeks after my request, they say that they still have technical issues with Embark and cannot say when the money will be with my annuity provider. I am assuming therefore that many other customers must be impacted. But, note they took the funds out of my account on 6/10, so I have had no benefit from these investments since then. I raised a formal complaint which was logged by them on 17/10, saying that they would call me back, but of course they haven’t. Nor has anyone called me back, though they have promised to do so, after my numerous calls to them, which have cost me a fortune. I do wonder whether all this is due to the Scottish Widows full acquisition of Iweb, as In have never had problems before that. I have used Iweb since 2014 for ISA and 2021 for SIPP but i will now be moving everything to an alternative, if or when they are ever able to allow me to do this! I obviously havent started this yet as they unable to even transfer part of the SIPP!

I found the online help feature super quick and the agent had the answer to all of my questions.

I've used iWeb for years and everything has worked well. I am currently not very active in dealing and it's great that there are no regular account payments.
I recently had a query on a transfer in from another ISA provider which was dealt with speedily by Shareen on the help desk.
