Great facilities
Great facilities, although limited choice of classes.
Difficulty entering sometimes if nobody on reception as I do not have a smartphone .

You get what you pay for
I believe the gym is set in a good location, good for the community however it is overcrowded. There should be a cap on the number of people allowed at a given time, the gym is always a mess, and showers/toilets are disgusting and I know that this isn't always in control of the people that work there, however I have seen personal trainers leave their weights behind when training people and some of the trainers are more interested in talking to others rather than observing what's happening in the gym.
The gym has invested in new equipment which is great but this gets misused and equipment is always broken, and the staff should speak to members when misusing equipment

Great gym with wonderful staff
A wonderful gym with a great atmosphere. The staff I interact with (Abby, Amber, Miah and Tez) are grade A people. Polite, happy and always making time for me. In a day and age where employees do the bare minimum for their pay cheques, these guys go above and beyond the call of duty. Definite assets to the JD family and their friendliness and work ethic is reason enough to keep me as a member.

More new equipment will be required, somebody need help with exercise but some of the exercises machine is to old.

Turned up for a spin class today .
Turned up for a spin class today .. no tutor turned up or JD Staff there to explain or to apologise for the changes to the schedule. I understand people are ill etc. But it would have been appreciated for a member of theJD team to notify me on arrival or leave a notice on the studio door rather then me sitting around for 10 mins waiting until another person attending the class to inform everyone.

Do not recommend for any already nervous new start women
Terrible atmosphere no staff around to assist in showing a first time member around and the ladies own section was just a small space on a corner with very very minimal equipment

All Worked Out Well In The End
I had been a member at JD Batley on and off over the years since it opened. It’s a big spacious gym with plenty of cardio machines and a good atmosphere. Having rejoined recently I discovered PIN entry is no longer available and has been replaced by QR codes. Having no data on my phone I was dependent on JD WiFi to gain entry. Half the the time it worked and when it didn’t I had to seek assistance with a staff member. Mea and Amber were always super helpful, smiley and polite on occasions when this happened. Unfortunately the manager was unhelpful in the matter and quite unpleasant. I cancelled my membership and have since joined PureGym which allows access with a PIN. I can quite honestly say I am over the moon with my new gym and delighted that something good has come out of a disappointing experience

It is a very nice
It is a very nice, clean and spacious gym even the ladies section. However I wish they would include more gym equipment such as more gym machines in the ladies section as I feel more comfortable in the ladies only section.
