Prefer the changing rooms to be open a bit earlier than 6am

Classes are good but I’m adjusting to having to work out where classes are and have to rely on other members for help with equipment.

Excellent gym equipment! Music could do with been a little louder as can barely here it, parking is tough at peak times, but overall a very good gym

I like the decor - very nice.
Unfortunately the machines are old and it shows. I use another gym near my place of work and the machines are very modern and work really well.
If you can replace all the old machines you gained from excersize 4 less with new ones i would give you 5*

That I could run before my other gym opened

Helpful staff, well looked after gym, good range of equipment, and good atmosphere. Nice place to train.

There is a couple of machines out of order
And there scanners are very temperamental

The app is very minimal
It would be useful to have more class information, as it doesn’t say what the class is about or whether you need to book.
Also it would be useful to see how many members are in the gym at the time
And also to have bring a friend code would be nice

The gym itself is very good, plenty of equipment and up to date modern machines. However, the water pressure to the showers in the male changing room is poor, I would say the overall temperature of the gym is slightly too hot & the lack of cleaning equipment to wipe down the machines is also a negative. Overall I am very happy with the move from The Shrewsbury Club.

Brilliant experience so far

I joined last week due to it now being a 24 hour gym as I train in the early hours due to work. I had been 3 times and then on the 4th time of going my QR code wouldn’t work, it said it had been disabled so I couldn’t get in.

I phoned the next day and explained it wasn’t working. I was then told my membership had been suspended due to me leaving some plates on a machine.

I hold my hands up and I must have forgotten to put them back, but it wouldn’t of done any harm for someone to call me or email me and just say, “could you pop your plates back” not just suspend my account without letting me know especially with me training in the early hours and I’m currently in prep for a contest.

Also it’s pretty creepy knowing someone has gone back through the cctv to watch exactly what you’re doing. Then it would appear they have gone, right let’s teach him a lesson and suspend him. Poor customer service and communication.

I love the concept and am pleased. Only point was that on a a sunday morning class and instructor did not show up and the class was cancelled whilst we were all set to start

Lovely clean and spacious facilities.

Every piece of equipment you could possibly need.

JD Gyms is by far the best gym in Shrewsbury. It is always clean and the equipment is of a great standard. The staff are outstanding and always friendly and approachable. There is a great range of classes on offer! Highly recommend this gym!

Lovely gym good equipment very clean and bright would be nice to gave been shown around facilities when I joined would also be nice to have more equipment of particular pieces that are very popular so you don't have to gang around waiting to use it otherwise brilliant

JD is like my second home, I absolutely love the atmosphere and the facilities are clean and well looked after. The staff are lovely and helpful, and the class options are fantastic! Cher especially is an asset to this gym, nothing brightens my day more than seeing her. Bootycamp was the best experience to gain confidence and friends within the gym, Hols and Cher are both great personal trainers and would recommend to anyone. Ben's mobility classes are also so informative and essential for progressing in strength training, I couldn't recommend a better gym!

Cracking gym with such an inclusive culture! Staff are super friendly and Cher is a wonderful being who deserves a raise xx
