I had Jesus as a a Spanish teacher, I really started from the beginning only new a few words and sentences. I did a few months of private Spanish lessons with him and learned a lot. He prepared the lessons very well and also I liked his teaching style and explanations of Grammar. He did in a way that was easy to understand, much better than I could do in apps like Duolingo.

Have been having sessions with Jesús for 8 months now. I tried out half a dozen instructors, he has been by far the best. Structured, dedicated, no fuss - straight to the point, concise communicator, clear responses to my questions. Always reachable when I need him (eg WhatsApp) and always my goals in mind. Truly customizes lessons and never tries to force other students’ way of learning upon me. He is always pushing me to help me reach my full potential. Highly recommended.

I took Japanese classes from Jesús for one year. It has probably been my favorite experience with a language teacher. Extremely knowledgeable, very original when it comes to his teaching methods, and a very fun teacher. Learning a language is hard and tedious but with him it was fun and organic!

Llevo un tiempo estudiando japonés con Jesús y estoy muy contento con las clases. Empecé con muchas dudas, porque el japonés me parecía un idioma muy complicado, pero él explica las cosas de una forma clara y hace que todo sea mucho más fácil de entender.

Las clases son amenas, bien preparadas y se adaptan a mi ritmo. Trabajamos gramática, vocabulario, lectura y conversación, pero siempre con ejemplos útiles y explicaciones que ayudan a entender cómo funciona realmente el idioma.

Además, Jesús tiene mucha paciencia y crea un ambiente cómodo para preguntar y equivocarse sin vergüenza. Siento que estoy avanzando poco a poco y que cada vez entiendo mejor el japonés. Lo recomendaría sin duda a cualquiera que quiera empezar o mejorar en japonés.

I work with Jesús on both Spanish and Catalan. He was always so well prepared and yet ready to adjust to whatever I needed in a given session. Not only does he have an excellent grasp of the structure and juice of each of the languages but also of how phrases work in each culture. I never had to imagine how many different ways their way were to say hello and goodbye with each having a somewhat different intent.

I would most highly recommend him for someone who is looking for an intelligent and articulate instructor. Who also happens to be nice and forgiving when you make mistakes.

Jesús is an excellent teacher who is patient, innovative, and really molds the class to each student. He creates new, fun ways to help you understand concepts and vocabulary. He was never late or missed a session, and was very on top of sending homework and grading homework. He also created his own notebook-style, and his very own book with grammar and instructions - it has been incredibly helpful to use while adjusting to life in a new country.
