I bought two pairs size large (as indicated for my 36/37 waist. I wore each pair but found them far too big. Easily fit 40 waist. I then bought a further two pairs in medium. They fit. Clearly sizing is awry!

Antwoord van Joseph Turner
I'm really sorry to hear the shorts were too big for you, as it's the first feedback we've had of this nature. We appreciate that buying from a catalogue can be tricky without trying the product on first, so we always offer freepost returns. We are happy for customers to try products on to check the fit, and return them if they aren't right (providing they haven't been worn, which is sadly the case here). I can see that you've been a customer of ours since 1998, so I do hope we can be of service to you again in the future.
Well made and comfortable

Brilliant JT
Good service, quality clothes, great designs and good offers, I have been buying from Joseph Turner for my husband for a number of years now and he has never been disappointed, the smart casual range really suits him.
My husband loves his clothes but like me hates shopping so Joseph Turner has been brilliant for him, glad I found them.
Keep up the good work and thank you.

Another satisfying purchase.
Placing the order online was very straightforward, acknowledgement of the order and subsequent emails about dispatch were prompt, and the quality of the item ordered was of the usual high standard associated with this company.
