Disappointing Experience
Unfortunately, my experience with this solicitor was very disappointing. This law firm was acting on a sale of my property. My case was initially handled by Minnie, and the biggest issue throughout the transaction was the lack of communication. Emails often went unanswered, and when I did receive a response, it was usually several days after my original enquiry. This left me chasing for updates and wondering what, if anything, was happening with my property sale.
The overall impression I was left with was that my case had been pushed to the bottom of the priority list. There seemed to be very little sense of urgency, despite the fact that buying and selling property is already a stressful process. As a client, you expect proactive communication and regular updates, but unfortunately that wasn't my experience.
The reason I've given 2 stars rather than 1 is because, towards the end of the transaction, my file was transferred to Amer. From that point onwards, the difference was noticeable. Communication improved, matters progressed much more quickly, and the sale finally moved towards completion. Had the same level of service been provided from the outset, my experience would have been significantly better.
I appreciate that conveyancing can be busy and delays can happen, but basic communication should never be an afterthought. Clients shouldn't have to repeatedly chase for updates or wait days for replies to straightforward emails.
Based on my experience, I would struggle to recommend this firm. I hope they review their case management processes and communication standards so that future clients receive a more consistent level of service.
