Julian is a true professional. He did an exemplary job for my photo shoot for some professional head shots. He was amazing at capturing the moment, resulting in some very natural photos of me. He had great conversation and overall was delivered beautifully taken photographs. 100% will be returning for some family photo shoot.

Probably the nicest couple that we’ve ever met. Jules and Sue welcomed us with smiles and made us comfortable from the minute we arrived.

They have the patience of saints. Amelia was very stubborn and was reluctant to sleep but Jules and Sue took their time with her, was very attentive and gentle with her and took some amazing photographs.

We would 100% recommend using them as your photographers for every occasion. It was definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive.

100% recommend! The booking process was really easy and straightforward. From the moment we turned up for my son's cake smash to the moment we left, Jules and Sue were very friendly and welcoming. Sue was especially great with my son, entertaining him from the get go and making sure he was comfortable. They made all of us feel at ease and comfortable in front of the camera and as a result Jules managed to capture some amazing photos of us. I can safely say it was money well spent with no hidden costs or extras. We didn't have to wait long to receive the edited photos either! Overall it was a brilliant experience, even for me who doesn't usually like photos and I can't thank them enough for that.

I went to Julian to get some headshots done for professional services like LinkedIn and public speaking profiles.

Arranging the shoot was really easy and was arranged and sorted on the same day.

When I arrived he made me feel very welcome and was very friendly.

The studio was very professional and he shared all the pictures he took and was happy to have pictures taken with different background and outfits.

I was really happy with how the pictures came out and would highly recommend his services to anyone else looking for professional photos.

We had an amazing experience during our photoshoot experience at the studio of Jules and Sue. We were immediately made to feel at home on arrival. Our baby was happy and safe with them :) The skill, energy, happiness (at getting a good shot), empathy & patience with a 3 week old were all top-notch. We got all the photographs within 2 days, which was pretty fast and mindblowing! Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next shoot sometime again! Thank you 😇

I am a local music conductor and booked a photo shoot Julian to update my old headshot for my website and press releases. I had found Julian’s business on google and, when booking the photoshoot, emailed through some example some images I was looking for. Julian got back to me really quickly and we booked the shoot for a fortnight later.

Immediately, Julian and Sue were so friendly and welcoming when I arrived. Their studio is easily accessible off of Bassett Green Road in a nice area of Southampton. Their facilities are brilliant, with a clean and tidy changing room on the ground floor and large studio on the 1st.

I paid for the £125 photography package and was able to bring some props (in my case, I brought a conducting baton and a music score) as well as a change of clothes. The shoot offered a number of coloured backdrops, lighting options as well as furniture props and they were able to quickly adapt the set to get wide variety of options. Julian and Sue clearly have expert industry knowledge - Julian had some fantastic advice on the lighting (how to make the images more dramatic, reducing the glare on my glasses etc.) and some artistic ideas regarding the photography itself and Sue gave some great tips on standing posture, arm and hand positions and general best practice.

I was blown away by the quality of the photography and was sent all of through all of the edited files the next day, which in total was around 70 photographs! The images are exactly what I was looking for and are as good as, if not better than the professional examples I sent through!

All in all it was a really fun experience and I can’t thank Julian and Sue enough for their time and expertise. If you’re looking for any photography I wholeheartedly recommend Julian Porter Photography!

We had our wedding photo shoot with them 6 years ago and the maternity photo last week. Very good experience with them . A relaxing day with our 5 years old son. They have entertained our Son when he was waiting which is really nice of them.

Amazing photographers who make you feel extremely comfortable and welcome. We had our son’s first birthday cake smash photo shoot done and we couldn’t been any happier with the outcome. Highly recommended.
