We contacted Knb when we received the survey report when we were in the process of exchanging contract on our new flat, we wanted to find out the extent of repairs needed if and when we complete our purchase. It was also very important to know the rough cost of repairs. They were extremely helpful throughout and stood with us through the process knowing we were also speaking to couple other builders. Due to their quick responses to our query and time spent, we chose Knb for our renovations. All repairs and upgrade was finished to a high quality standards and costs came in just slightly over budget. Our appreciation for all your hard work

Pipe in our kitchen broke causing water everywhere, pipe was repaired right away and new flooring laid in record time.

I am the director of a structural engineering firm and I was hired from you behalf of your client to perform a Basement Impact assessment and the structural calculation and related drawings of a new development at WoodField avenue that were completed and sent to you at the beginning of May 2024 .
As agreed ,I issued two invoices to be paid by 45 days.
We had a meeting at the Architect’s office of this project at the beginning of June with all the stakeholders: you , client and architects where we discussed the project and we agreed on the next stages of the project.
As you did not pay my invoices at the agreed deadline , I did different reminds by phone calls and emails.
After different reminds , you proposed me the following solution:
to pay one invoice by 1 week ,
do not pay the other one as you have a problem with your client , the owner of the mentioned new development at Woodfield Avenue and to recover and compensate the amount of this unpaid invoice with new projects where I will have to work on that will be paid upfront.
I cannot accept it and please pay my invoices because I did my job honestly and professionally and you are creating me big economical problem.
Please do it and I will be happy to remove this review immediately.

You required me to sign off a contract of agreement between your company and mine where it was stated that my company will work under the directìon of your company in order to help deliver this Project .

The invoices were issued to your company also.

I was invited from you in this meeting with the architects and clients as I had to explain some technical issues related to this project and I could not delegate anybody to explain these issues.

I tried to raise awareness to the client and to be paid directly from him , but he was not nice , did not want to know reasons as he told me that you was responsable for these payments.

I told you several time to pay one invoice and to give me evidence that the client was responsable for these payments by sending me a document proving it , but you did nothing.

You and the client empathise with my problem , but both are searching invalid excuses for not paying my invoices creating me very big economical issue and stress.

What I stated is all proved by emails and letters , but there is no reason to reply to you as we are in opposite direction.

I initially hired Kensington New Build for some renovation works in November 2023. He worked for a few weeks to deliver the projects as scheduled in December (he left some stuff unfinished for months). The time pressure meant the quality of some of the works was very questionable. At the time I also placed an order for new sash windows through KNB. KNB promised the windows would be installed in a matter of days (it turned out to be a false statement).

Since January everything went very sour. My windows took 3 months to be ready (which is the standard time frame, KNB made false promises). I received an email from the window company in March asking for the remaining payment and to confirm installation dates. Unfortunately those dates had to be delayed by more than 2 months as KNB did not transfer the money to them (which I paid for upfront and 3 months earlier). In order for me to have the windows installed I had to make an extra payment, covering for KNB’s shortfall. I never received this money back from KNB, despite asking for a refund multiple times.

In terms of outstanding projects, KNB have not done any work for the stuff I paid upfront in January despite me chasing multiple times. He is now running short of excuses. Often citing delay in other projects, personal issues and some times not even answering messages or calls for days. In many instances he promises works would take place on a day and never shows up, answering my messages and calls only a few days later. I have tried to get my money back for 2 months without any success. Same story applies here: false promises, lies and excuses.

Overall the whole experience has been terrible, very demanding and tiring. I am constantly chasing him and always getting excuses and false promises. I fear I will never get my money back. I recommend you to NOT hire KNB. Save yourself time, energy and money.

Our en-suite bathroom needed freshing up. Whilst freshining up, we decided to have a completely new bathroom installed. Team at Kensington was helpful, patient, and supportive throughout. Installation was carried well, tiling came out really well, everything looks nice

LOFT CONVERSION
After going through due diligence on a few builders, we chose to Kensington New build to carry out our loft conversion.
They helped us with the appointment of Architect, Structural Engineer, and Building Control.
The building process was clear, and the build is of the highest quality with attention to detail. Very pleased with our loft conversion. We will gladly recommend the team.

INSTALLATION OF NEW PLUG SOCKETS AND LIGHTINGS: All works were done well and swiftly

We wanted to redecorate our home for the summer. The guys came in and repainted our home. Looks good.

Big tree roots was causing movement and big cracks on our drive. After survey report, it was recommended we get our footings underpinned. This challenging task was carried out structurally well. Kensington team were very steadfast and carried out all works according to the structural survey report. It was successfully signed off by building control too, we are pleased with the outcome

Outside patio was cracked and required to have a new one laid. We had other little repairs carried out around the house, refilling and repairing cracks on our walls, mounting a new wall tv, repairing damp patches in two of our bathroom, re sealing our windows, paint and decorate, repair retaining wall.
Everyone was courteous and the finishes are very good.
We have recommended the company to other friends and and colleagues, we will also do so in the future

I recently had an extension and kitchen renovation completed by Kensington New Build, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The team was professional, efficient, and paid great attention to detail. From the initial consultation to the final touches, the process was smooth and stress-free. Just to add, we had the under-floor heating done, also the gutters cleaned. Absolutely great team and work.

We had a leaking roof causing damage to our ceiling and walls. The Crew at KNB repaired the roof and the other damages due to leaks.

First time using this company and I hope it will be one of many to come!
Good people who get on with the job and don’t need tea and loo every half hour, in fact not at all over three days’ work. I like that!

Oli is a very nice guy who seems to have a good relationship with his team.
I can’t speak as a builder, only as a client, so from what I see and have experienced, I can say I am very happy with the work completed and would recommend!
