Having used Kingston Funerals three years ago for my youngest brother's funeral I knew that this was the right place to handle my mums funeral and final wishes. The service, care, compassion, kindness and consideration offered by Jamie Harrison was nothing short of amazing.
This wasn't like dealing with a business for a product, but more like asking a family friend to help in a time of pain and loss. Jamie is a credit to the company and not once did she ever waiver from her commitment to make me and my family feel as we were the most important people to her. Her help was sincere , humble and above all genuine.

At a very difficult time, such as the loss of a loved one, our family has, twice now, placed trust in the compassion and professionalism of Kingston Funerals to handle the funeral arrangements. Both times, Kingston Funerals have exceeded our expectations with the organisation and efficiency with which they managed the whole process. The staff are excellent. Understanding and compassionate, but at the same time, extremely organised. This allowed us to process our grief without any stress involving the details of the funeral.

Mum had prepaid her funeral expenses through Kingston Funerals back in 2013 and we expected some additional charges to be implemented, However from our first call to completion, Jamie assured us that there will be no additional charges applicable and we must say that Jamie was, compassionate with an enormous amount of empathy throughout the process.
I would recommend Jamie and the team at Kingston Funeral as well as investigating the prepaid service they provide.

From the very beginning, the entire team treated our family with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect during one of the most difficult times of our lives. They were incredibly family-oriented, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.

A special thank you to our funeral director, Emily, who was exceptional. She was kind, gentle, responsive, and quietly made everything happen exactly when it needed to. Her calm support, warmth, and attention to detail gave us great confidence throughout the entire process and made a very difficult time so much easier to navigate.

One of the most stressful moments came when some of our family were unexpectedly delayed while travelling to the service. Without hesitation or any fuss, the team rearranged the timing to ensure everyone could be there. What could have been an incredibly upsetting situation was handled with such professionalism and calm that they simply made it work.

The chapel itself was a beautiful, peaceful space that provided the perfect setting to celebrate Mum’s life. The flowers were elegant and thoughtfully arranged, creating a warm and comforting atmosphere. Their willingness to set up candles for a candle lighting ceremony was also a wonderful touch. Following the service, the catering was excellent, with everything beautifully presented. The ribbon sandwiches were especially delicious and were commented on by many of our guests. We also really appreciated the additional staff who were on hand to ensure the catering and refreshments ran smoothly, allowing our family to spend time with our guests without having to worry about any of the practical details.

The team on the day of Mum’s service were absolutely wonderful. They handled a few unexpected situations with professionalism and care, going well above and beyond what we expected. They looked after our guests beautifully and, when one of our guests became unwell, a member of the team drove the guest’s car to the hospital to ensure they were taken care of. Their compassion and willingness to help meant so much to our family.

They made every effort to ensure the service reflected Mum’s wishes and supported our family with kindness every step of the way.

A heartfelt thank you also to our celebrant, Sandra. Having Sandra as both our celebrant and a family friend made the personal connection truly invaluable. She was always available, making the process of creating Mum’s service seamless and so much easier than we could have imagined. Sandra gently guided us through every step, offering thoughtful suggestions and encouraging us to personalise the service in ways that reflected Mum’s life and personality. On the day, she spoke from the heart, capturing Mum so beautifully and creating a celebration of her life that felt deeply personal and exactly as Mum would have wanted.

We will always be grateful to Emily, Sandra, and the entire team for their professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. They didn’t just organise a funeral—they cared for our family every step of the way. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, professional, and truly exceptional funeral services.

The people were caring and supportive. However we found the communication at times confusing and at times slow. It meant we had less time to understand and do what we needed to do to arrange the funeral.
This increased our distress at an already distressful situation.

He took us through everything, including the likelihood that Mum's ashes would not return in time to be present at the scheduled service, but in the end, the Kingston team worked very hard to do everything before this date and Mum was with us on the day.
