Entendimos que una lampara original es una lampara fabricada mismo fabricante que el proyector, escribimos un correo a este proveedor para asegurarnos que fueran lampara originales y nos dijeron que si. Al recibir las lamparas y ponerlas al proyector vimos que el rendimiento era del 50 % menor comparándolo con otro proyector con lamparas Panasonic. Escribimos al proveedor y entonces SI nos dicen que no son originales, respuesta del proveedor: (Las lámparas interiores originales no son OEM ni están fabricadas por Panasonic.) Cuatro lamparas 806 € tirados a la basura.

Not Really Original Lamps
I bought an “original” Epson lamp. It was nearly £100. They are supposed to last 2-3 years. The actual original lasted 3 years. Their “original” lasted 8 months. A total ripoff. I don’t believe the lamp was an original as advertised. Avoid.

Wrong Bulb Sent, Exploded, Possibly Damaged Projector
My Optoma projector's original lamp lasted 10,000 hours but was fading, so I purchased a VIVID (Original Lamp Inside).
The lamp EXPLODED after ONLY 1.5 months and 263 HOURS!
What's worse is I contacted Optoma and they confirmed the bulb was not compatible with my projector and could have damaged it - It should have been a 240w bulb .8 arc, I received a 170w bulb .9 arc, meaning I was putting 240w through a 170w bulb! No wonder it exploded.
Customer service was quick to respond and agreed to send a replacement, but I'm scared to use it and worried they may have damaged a £1000 projector.
I do not recommend using, but if you do, double check the specs on the bulb to make sure it's compatible before fitting.
Guaranteed next day delivery that just didn't happen. AVOID!!!
I ordered a bulb for my projector on 28th December and paid £6.97 for guaranteed next day delivery. I didn't get the bulb the next day. I needed this for NYE. I received a Royal Mail link saying I needed to update my address. The link was broken. I phoned them only to hear their voicemail box was full. I emailed, no reply. On Tuesday 2nd Jan they answered my call. I asked why I hadn't received the bulb and they didn't have an answer. They phoned me back to say it was because they were shut but would post it out for next day delivery 6 days later. At no point on the email, or invoice did they say "oh by the way were shut, so you won't get your bulb on time".
I emailed in saying I wanted the delivery costs refunding and they said no. When I asked why, they said because they'd sent it next day. I didn't ask them too do this as they'd missed ny delivery date. No apologies, nothing. I said if they didn't refund it I'd write reviews warning others to avoid at all costs. They ignored this too. Thankfully I paid through Paypal who opened a case which was in my favour. I returned the bulb as theres no way I am letting this company make a profit out of this. Paypal refunded the whole amount.
Lamps Direct are clearly way more concerned about the profits than customer care. I cannot understand why they think they can keep my money when they provided no service, and it took me to contact them to see where the bulb was. I would definitely avoid, I had a terrible experience, and very time consuming.

Your reply states this was stated on your website that you weren't open. I'm not arguing with that. I am however arguing that you took a payment for guaranteed next day delivery when you knew there was 0% chance of fulfilling this. When ordering this bulb on the 28th at no point did your website tell me this wouldn't be fulfilled as you were shut. At no point on the order email did you tell me you were shut and wouldn't be delivering. Also if you weren't delivering the next day, why did you send me a Royal Mail link?
You also fail to explain the broken Royal Mail link, the full voicemail box, no reply to my emails? What you could of and should have done was said "we were wrong, here's your delivery charge back", but I guess greed is a powerful thing.
If you're so right why did the gentleman I spoke to have no clue as to why I hadn't had the bulb, so much so that he had to go away and investigate, then ring me back. Why did he apologise profusely? In today's society the attitude of never being wrong with your customer has never been more detrimental to your future success. Companies are made and broken on reviews.
Oh and just so we're super clear here, please don't make out you were the good guys refunding me for the bulb. You lost a case with Paypal that I started. Paypal found you wrong in all aspects and subsequently refunded me the bulb AND the costs of the delivery, something you had no control over.
I do hope your pitiful response to try and salvage something out of this to make you out to look like the good guys and my further evidence of Lamps Direct misgivings make people stop and think before ever entertaining placing an order.

Faulty lamp but excellent customer service experience
The replacement lamp I ordered was delivered rapidly, but it unfortunately started to dim after about 10 hours. When I reported the issue to customer service, I was given a full refund immediately; no quibbles
Great Customer Service, Lightning Fast Delivery

It’s incredible! They also answered the phone right away. Easy to contact.
I don’t have anything negative to say about Lamps Direct. Great service and honestly lightning fast delivery.

No drama. All good for me.
I ordered a replacement lamp for my Optoma projector and chose this company as a cost saving over OEM supplier. I was pleased with ease of online ordering, the reasonably quick international delivery and the ease of fitting. Bulb looks and performs perfectly. I am a light user of projector for occasional movies and gaming so hard to assess longevity but all good so far.

Don’t Just Listen to Horror Stories!
Because of all the negative reviews here, I was very hesitant and wary of purchasing from Lamps Direct.
However, my experience was absolutely excellent. I initially ordered the cheaper bulb for my Epson TW5650, but got spooked and decided to upgrade to an orginal inside lamp. I called and I believe Leanne(?) immediately called the warehouse and changed the order. My amended lamp arrived THE NEXT MORNING. I live in the highlands of Scotland, and nothing arrives next day. I didn’t think it was possible. But Lamps Direct achieved it.
The lamp went in super easy with some help from YouTube. Smelled of solvents for a bit, which I won’t lie, had me worried - but this is normal with heating new plastic. Soon cleared up, and my picture has never been sharper or brighter. Super happy. I’ve had this new lamp in for a few weeks now. Fingers crossed and touch wood, but no issues so far.
Just remember that people seldom write good reviews, and are far more likely to write about horror stories. My experience with Lamps Direct has honestly been excellent.
If you’re on the fence, just call them.

First bulb failed within 4 weeks. The replacement failed at 238 hours (7 months old). They won't budge on refund, partial or otherwise.
They state my projector is likely at fault. Both times I put my original bulb back in and it works fine.

Lamp Unit Blew up within an hour of use - seller will not replace
Bought a replacement lamp for my Optoma HD700 in May 22. Installed June 22 after I checked with them about fitment (as no instructions received and appearance was different from original lamp i had in it).
It's not my main projector so it only became apparent 188 days after purchase that there was a problem. Essentially the bulb unit I bought from them blew up in my face. I put another bulb unit back in and this worked fine so it seems to be an issue with their bulb.
I raised an issue with them and unfortunately, found the same response as other reviewers. Essentially they blamed the projector for developing a power fault etc and refused to help. Their listing suggested a life of 2000 or 3000 hours. This bulb exploded after less than one.
I wish I'd seen these reviews before buying as it's exactly what's happened to me, so I will not be buying from this company again. May as well have bought a cheaper unit off Ebay. I'm also disappointed to have to fight for my rights as a consumer when not only does it appear to be an issue with their product, but it could have been nasty.

Ordered an Epson lamp
Ordered an Epson lamp - went for the original inside version - was delivered fast and customer service were really helpful when i called for advice on fitting the lamp. Would buy from them again.

Don't buy anything from them it has burned my Optoma like others guy described below same thing, spark made by one of lead connectors, that goes beyond line of housing and has touched the other metal element of cooling fan and has blown transistor on ballast unit, rectifier bridge, ceramic internal slow realise fuse and probably colour wheel motor.
However I've explained everything and I was rather expecting some help/support, instead received email that its not possible them lamp has caused damage and said my projector was faulty...... I presume this is not even company registered they should be insured incase such problem....
Trust Pilot should really place them in line of worst company in UK
However I haven't finished with them yet.
