She spotted several issues that mattered, pushed back on the points that needed pushing back on, and was straight with me about what was worth arguing over and what wasn't. Throughout a particularly stressful series of events - including potentially losing one’s job - having the support of Philip and his team made a significant difference. Philip’s approach ably combines professional experience, technical nous and - perhaps most importantly - a sensitivity that is not often found in legal practitioners. I engaged Landau Law for advice in connection with an employment matter. Unfortunately, I found the experience disappointing.

I agreed to the initial retainer in good faith, but I was not given a clear enough explanation of what was included or what level of service I could expect. Once the matter was underway, I found myself having to chase repeatedly for communication and follow-up. At times I did not feel that my situation was being given the level of attention I expected.

When I eventually asked for more comprehensive support, I was offered an additional fixed-fee service at a substantial cost. I was not given enough clarity about what outcome was realistically achievable to make that cost seem reasonable, so I decided not to proceed.

What I found particularly disappointing was that after I declined the additional service, I did not hear from the firm again. There was no meaningful follow-up or attempt to discuss the matter further.

Overall, I felt that I had to work too hard to obtain the support I had expected from the retainer, and I did not feel that the service represented good value for the fees I paid. I would not use the firm again.

Fast, in-depth and efficient service in reviewing a settlement agreement. The solicitor I was assigned (Sanya) even proposed amendments to the agreement, which have been applied.

Joanna Robson is an excellent solicitor. She has helped me through a nearly 8-month long internal process with my employer ending in a favourable settlement.
