Re July holiday to Sardegna sucks
I tried to contact ledger before I went on holiday via telephone, up to 2 months, even before we paid the whole amount , no help , and again when I was on the holiday through their drivers about the insurance and the separate room and my sensitivities, but the driver said they did not respond .Ledger staff refused to change anything in the booking my friend made, twice i asked in the 2 months before I left on my first coach holiday with an older family friend who I was accompanying , she made the booking as she had travelled with ledger a few times before and said she would make the initial booking , she had not explained to ledger about my disability as she has difficulty to do this and asked me to call them myself as she didn’t have all my information, I tried to call and explained that I would need to be picked up nearer my location and dropped off as well and also my insurance would not be valid if they do not add my health issues
And I wanted my own itinerary to be emailed to me and to ask about the single room occupancy( the friend lived far from me ) but I was shut off each time , ledger staff saying they can’t speak to me, although I was a person on the booking list , they had my passport number , email , address and telephone number and they still refused to acknowledge me , even when i said I have a disability , It was a terrible trip that left me in so much pain that I ended up at the doctors on my return , injecting me with steroids . we kept paying more for everything that was added on the trip , even a cup of cheap tea on the coach, they want money , leaving us to pay for expensive motorway and other food as well . Lack of information from staff , and the drivers were new and not so knowledgeable but they tried their best but did not give my health issues much attention as they were not notified by ledger, because ledger was not practising inclusivity as they preach , I paid a lot of money to get back home from cobham in an Uber, with terrible knee and hip pain from using too many times the steps on the Coach and being left to walk for long , had to pay extra at times for other services to avoid step / steep walking , ledger refused point blank to at least refund my taxi for £68 after I had to pay 700 euros for a separate room for 5 days, food, having to sleep sitting down due to a smelly cabin without soap or adequate towel , hotel room with a tiny bed rather than 2 singles that hurt my neck , I could only rest in Sardegna because I paid 700 euros for extra bedroom for 5 days which I could have paid to get the separate room for the whole 2 weeks , 2 week of awful time, not much of interest or entertaining on the trip cabin on ship , bad , no food or crappy cheap hotel food to top it all up , a couple of guests on the trip criticising me with the driver when staffs in Hotel Martini Sardegna were helping me with different food and or drink on a couple of occasion, saying I was having preferential treatment (I PRAISE THE STAFFS AT HOTEL MARTINI)
For helping me at times with the food and milk etc as they acknowledged my sensitivities and the fact that I do not eat pork which were ignored by ledger . I wrote 3 times to ledger and it took them ages to respond with a sorry about this but we are not acknowledging your story and refunding you anything not even your taxi back to Bracknell , to me is same as “we do not care about your health and disability “
Sorry ledger you are not inclusive and you have discriminated against me ( equality act,2010) you failed to make reasonable adjustments ) and I tried for months to speak to you privately but you ignored me .
Never again will I use your service , first and last time , you can jump up and lie but you have ignored the law
Wicklow and garden of Ireland. The journey was from 1am till 7pm. We were on yhe coach daily for three to four hours just going to boring coffee shops or deserted beaches. The hotel and food were lovely but on a golf course. We were unable to walk anywhere from the hotel. The journey back was from 6.30am until 11pm and we only stopped once after the ferry to grab a sandwich at 1pm to eat on the coach. This was a complete waste of time and money.
