I bought a van solely off of the inspectors report. I’m not very knowledgeable about mechanical issues so i had to rely on a professional. Bought the van a couple weeks ago but had to return it to the dealership for a knocking noise under the hood and it had a very rough idle. Dealership fixed both issues but they had to keep my van for almost a week, costing me business opportunities as the van is used for commercial use.

Finally get the van back, noticed the transmission is slipping as well. Now i have to take it back and get that looked at today. I would have never purchased this van if these issues were reported in the inspection. I spent a lot of money on this vehicle and for the lemon squad service, putting trust in a “professional” inspector. Would never recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Very thorough technician assessed my 89 Benz purchase. After his review i was very comfortable proceeding with the purchase as expectations were established.

I had a fantastic experience with Lemon Squad. I was looking at 2 vehicles in 2 different states, the first vehicle, i chose not to go with after seeing the detailed report and pictures that just left to many concerns and extra work i would have had to do. I went with the second car, again after seeing the detailed report they found so little wrong with the vehicle it seemed the deal for me. I can't say how helpful this was since both vehicle were out of state. There are a lot of scams going on out there and having a third party be able to go out and inspect and report back with pictures videos and documented evaluations is not only helpful but comforting. Thank you Lemon Squad for your help.

I could not be more shockingly pleased by your rep's response time, feedback, and the dashboard that allowed me to track the progress. Lemon Squad essential saved the deal on a motorcycle. As a novelist and possibly filmmaker, I will boast of your company. My risk analyst at my bank said she will speak of Lemon Squad when a large wire transfer is made on a sight-unseen vehicle. I've never been more pleased with a service in my adult life. Excellence, though rare, still exists. Lemon Squad personifies this with robust flair! I'm a fan!

I paid full price. Lemon squad says always talk to a person. Not true. Only talk to a person in specified business hours. Lemon squad says 24 hour goal turn around from when inspection is completed. That also didn’t happen. Not by when inspection was finished and not from time it was inputed either. This was a competitive buying situation and I would have liked lemon squad to do what they advertised. Of course, the pictures were helpful and the information were what I needed and thank you, I received them, just not in the method your advertise for timing.

I tried leaving a review. The inspection was lackluster. Did not describe a single thing took barely any videos that were viewable. Photos were bad quality or duplicates. Please do better this was not worth the $365.00, in my opinion. I would ask for a refund.

Money well spent...video, detailed report, photos. Helped me make a decision on an out of state purchase. Would have been a disaster purchase without the knowledge imparted from a hands on, live inspection.

A few easily fixable issues with the inspection and report I got for a 2007 Cadillac Escalade:
1. The tire pressure warning light on the dash being lit, an easy/proper thing to do would be to use a simple digital pressure gauge and check each tire to see if a low one was the cause! Without that, the cause is open-ended speculation.
2. Mentioning a tear in the seat fabric without getting a good photo of it doesn't help much.
3. Start the engine cold with the hood open, to listen for a possible location of the mentioned exhaust leak.
NOW, I would happily pay a few more $ to have comfort and convenience features of a vehicle verified as functional. Things like the heated/cooled seats. Heated steering wheel. Sound and entertainment systems. Rear window defrost/wiper/washer. Key options that contribute greatly to the value, and diminish it if not working properly.

Fantastic experience! They kept me notified through the process and provided great details about the vehicle. I received about 100 photos, and lots of videos showing how the car drove, the sunroof, the flaws, any how the car starts. I requested this service because the vehicle was 4 hours from me. Because of the detailed report Lemon Squad provided, I purchased the vehicle!!! Thanks team!!!

A bit disappointed in the total time elapsed but I do realize a weekend was involved and ultimately the inspection report came late on the third business day. Lots of photos and the written report was short but complete down to noting a missing tire pressure placard. Also good pics of the vehicle scan which reflected quite a few non-critical faults but unfortunately they didn’t go to the detailed screens to show the actual fault codes reported. Unfortunately the dealer left the car very dirty so the ability to note fine paint defects would have been impacted. It basically took almost a day-1/2 for the inspection to occur which was a Saturday and then late Tuesday before receipt of the report.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!

wanted to ask specific questions about getting a pre purchase inspection of an older used rv motor home. I got a lady from the Philippines who said she could answer my questions. I said “No ma’am you are not a technician who understands rvs. You’re a customer service agent.” She then told me that it’s “impossible “, to talk to a technician about any questions I have.

So I’m supposed to pay these people something in the vicinity of $500.00. I don’t get to talk to them and ask any questions about their inspection which does NOT list looking for water damage and leaks in the roof, nor does in mention a roof inspection. They hire 3rd world customer service agents to pay them less and keep more money for themselves not caring about the frustration of dealing with a non-American customer service agent. And I’m supposed to blindly hand them over money for something I can’t ask any questions about???!

Run for the hills in any direction but just run fast and far away from this inconsiderate, greed rather than customer motivated company that won’t even give jobs to Americans because it’s way cheaper to hire Filipinos who are terrible communicators for the most part.

Is well worth it, it may not be perfect, but they have experienced in seeing things that are not as obvious to a novice buying, is a very neutral and professional inspection telling like it is. A great guidance on making a final decision. they were there quickly and the report was ready timely.

I was considering buying a used Porsche from across the country. I was not able to be there in-person. I hired lemon squad to inspect the car for me on my behalf before making a decision. They showed up & performed an extremely thorough inspection the very next day. Within 48 hours I received a meticulous report accessible online regarding practically every detail about the vehicle. It even included a couple of videos of the vehicle idling and ~25 pictures taken during the inspection. Long story short the Porsche had some hidden mechanical issues that would have costed big money to fix. Paying lemon squad $350 ended up saving me thousands in a bad purchase & repairs. It was so worth the price & gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend lemon squad for anyone who is thinking about buying a vehicle in their area of operations. They are prompt, thorough, and professional.

Everything looked good but when the list of items was reviewed the area that had steering wheel said issues with no explanation? Also the area that says AIR see below.
AIR and heated catalyst readiness monitors were incomplete at the time of the scan.
Not sure what that means.
Hopefully I can get an answer otherwise good.

I bought an inspection for an EV.

On the plus side, the whole process was easy and seamless. Pay and wait.

On the negative side, it took 5 days (incl. 2 weekend days) to get the report. By then, the car had been sold to somebody else (I was surprised to hear that they still did the inspection).

Furthermore, no OBD2 scan was performed (this is something I really needed to make sure the electronics were proper. For instance, another EV had some CCU problems).

I would not do it again. Next time, take it to a proper inspector in person where you control time / parameters.

Not worth it. I did a better job on my own. The tesla i ordered to be inspected had a door sticking out that made it not flush with the car. Screen had a crack. Dior handle had a deep gash….etc…. I now think it probably was not even inspected and they just sent me pictures. Save your money

My reviewer was incredibly thorough. I received a multi-page report, a video, and 50+ photos. I can only speak to my experience, but this inspection just saved me from investing significant money in a car I could not inspect in person (due to distance). I am very satisfied with the inspector's notes and him telling me critical information that I was able to read between the lines.

I recently used Lemon Squad for a pre-purchase inspection on an out-of-state vehicle. Unfortunately, while they provided a large number of photos, I was disappointed with the overall quality and thoroughness of the inspection.

The report noted an “abnormal noise” during startup, yet elsewhere stated that the vehicle started strong and that no issues were observed. I paid extra for the verbal rundown specifically so I could better understand any potential concerns. When I followed up, the representative told me that he had reviewed the videos and report and did not hear any abnormal noise at all, and that I should essentially disregard that portion of the report. That was concerning and left me questioning the accuracy and consistency of the inspection.

There was also a diagnostic code listed in the report that appeared to be associated with Toyota, despite the vehicle being a GMC. When I called to ask about it, the representative acknowledged that they weren’t really sure why it was showing up. For an inspection that is supposed to help someone make an informed decision on an expensive out-of-state purchase, I expected a much clearer explanation and verification of any diagnostic codes.

Another issue was the way the vehicle was started and recorded for the inspection. The inspector got into the vehicle and, from a cold start, immediately revved/pinned the throttle for no apparent reason. I found that concerning and unnecessary, particularly when evaluating a vehicle that is being inspected for a potential buyer.

Overall, the photos were useful and probably the strongest part of the service. However, the inconsistencies in the report, the questionable diagnostic-code explanation, and the lack of confidence in the verbal assessment made me feel that I did not receive the level of inspection or expertise I paid for.

Based on my experience, I would personally look into other inspection services before using Lemon Squad again. If you’re considering them, I would view the service primarily as a way to get additional photos rather than relying on it as a comprehensive mechanical evaluation.
