I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Sandonia for providing such an excellent service from start to finish. The entire experience was incredibly well organised, professional and completely stress-free.
A very special thank you goes to Jana, who was absolutely fabulous throughout the whole journey. She was always friendly, supportive, patient and incredibly informative. No matter how many questions I had, she always responded quickly and made sure I understood every step of the process. Having someone so caring and approachable made a huge difference and gave me complete confidence before travelling to Prague.
Everything was arranged exactly as promised, and I always felt that I was in safe hands. The clinic was modern, the staff were welcoming and professional, and the whole experience exceeded my expectations.
I am already over the moon with my vision, and it is amazing to experience such a positive change in my everyday life. I only wish I had decided to have the surgery sooner!
If you are considering eye surgery abroad, I genuinely cannot recommend Sandonia highly enough. Their service, communication and attention to detail have been outstanding from beginning to end. My overall experience was excellent from start to finish. I was referred to this clinic by a family member, and my first point of contact was Ivan, who was very helpful and professional throughout the process.
I arranged my flights and accommodation to be close to the surgery, which made everything very convenient. All pre-operative assessments and tests were carried out thoroughly, giving me great confidence before the procedure.
The operation itself was completely painless and was completed very quickly — around 10–15 minutes in the theatre for the first eye. The second eye was done two days later, and both procedures went smoothly.
The entire team were fantastic — friendly, professional, and caring. Dr Novak did an outstanding job, and I am extremely happy with the care I received and the results. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering treatment.

I was a little nervous about travelling abroad for surgery, especially when I paid the deposit through a link sent by email. However having now been to Prague and had the lens replacement surgery I couldn’t recommend Sandonia highly enough. The translators that meet you at the clinic and stay by your side throughout the process making sure you’re checked in and attending the correct appointments are excellent. Really friendly, knowledgeable and they ensure everything runs smoothly for you, they really made the experience comfortable and calm. The clinic itself is a busy Czech eye hospital, it’s not super ritzy but the staff are excellent and the facilities are spotless and the same as England. The surgery is completed in an operating theatre by top surgeons, the surgeon that did one of my operations was the chief eye surgeon for the Czech military. Everyone was kind professional and I’m delighted with the result, 6 nights in beautiful Prague was an added bonus. All in all it cost me £6k less that I was quoted for the same surgery with optical express in the UK.

Minor criticism
I feel that it would be reassuring for myself if the days of surgery were to be changed slightly.
If the pre op was done on the Monday together with the eye surgery, surgery on Tuesday, post op check Wednesday, 2nd surgery Thursday then you could be seen in the clinc for a post op check prior to going home. I would personally have felt a bit better with this arrangement.
Overall , I am very impressed with the Clinic and Dr Peter and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Fantastic service from start to finish outstanding experience everything's made easy any questions are answered fully and honestly wouldn't hesitate to recommend not only to friends and family but anyone who is unsure of taking the step to have the surgery especially as it is another country can fully recommend

I, like many im sure was sceptical of travelling from UK to Prague to have eye lens replacement surgery in a few days and fly home. I am extremely happy to say the experience, professionalism and care were superb. Dr Novak was a true professional and nothing was too much trouble to ask. He is an excellent, calm, reassuring surgeon and both eye procedures were fine. I would recommend this to anyone without reservation. Thank you so much!

Ivan was very prompt in replying to any questions or queries I had which made the booking process very easy. The service was as described and the staff friendly and efficient. The actual procedure went smoothly and I was very impressed with the expertise of the surgeon and confident that it would go well. Although I was apprehensive at first, I was soon very reassured by the excellent staff and service.

from start to finish the whole experience was seamless , well organised and professional .translators were excelent and so professional . clinic was efficient and clean and the theatre experience was so fast i hardly remember being there !!! no pain what so ever !!! the clinic was not private like i would have thought it catered for public patients also from what i could see but it made no difference to how fast we were seen and dealt with . i would recommend , im home eyes are still adjusting and healing but no pain just a little dry which is to be expected .

Both myself and my husband travelled to Prague for lens replacement surgery booked through Ivan at Sardonia. We were delighted with the service received and the surgery itself. Having previously had a consultation at a clinic in the UK we can honestly say that the service in Prague was on another level and following lengthy conversations with the surgeon who explained everything in great detail we were not anxious in the slightest about the surgery itself and are now both delighted with the results. Would 100% recommend.

Right from the start the process was simple the accommodation was arranged for me all I had to do was book my flight. When I got to the clinic I was looked after and everything was explained to me so there was no surprises.
I felt that every step I took Iwas fully supported by the staff. They are very thorough with testing to make sure that you are fit for surgery. The procedure itself is quick and painless and when the bandage are off the next day I had clear vision.
Having worn glasses for around 30 years I am now completely free of them and don't even have them anymore.
Sandonia know what they are talking about I just wish I'd done this years ago.

Had my lenses replaced at the end of March.Cant recommend Sandonia enough.Ivan had everything well organised,with everything explained thoroughly by the surgeons at the eye clinic. Totally pain free and the whole experience couldn't have gone any better.

The staff were all kept me upto date we my arrangements on the run up to my procedure and when i arrived in Prague they were very reassuring to all of us
The whole was very clean and hygiene was absolutely amazing

I cannot recommend Sandonia enough! Working within the Healthcare Sector myself I’m really aware of patient centred care and I can say is WOW! Professional high standards of care exceptional! The results? Amazing I’m two weeks pre op and no more glasses forever! No pain, quick and professional. We had bloods, ECG scans, g.p. and optometry visits prior to ensure suitable for surgery. All lenses used were high quality manufactured in USA. We were provided with post op antibiotics and steroid for post op care. all our results and information on surgical procedure and lenses used for g.p. in U.K. Do not even think about paying the extortionate prices in the U.K.!

I am from the U.K and have just got back from Prague.
I had trifocal lens replacement .

Ivan was my coordiantor from the very onset of my enquiries /booking/and basically on hand for any questions i had along the way.

Arrived on the Monday afternoon.
I had already been sent a schedule beforehand.
Tuesday i had to go to have my full health check,bloods ,urine sample,height,weight and a full cardiology test.
From there it was onto the eye clinic for various indepth eye tests and to also to meet my surgeon,
Dr Petr Novak.
He did some more tests and we sat and discussed my lifestyle and my final expectations.
He showed me models of the 2 different lenses and explained about both,and which ones he/we would best suit my needs.
A nurse then gives you paperwork ,instructions of how to prepare the day before/on the day and post op.
You are also given Eye drops to apply am and pm and also 2 boxes of antibiotic drops with a detailed print out of how often they should be applied.

Wednesday i attended the place next door ,which is where the surgical suite is.
3 of us in recliner chairs,had several lots of numbing drops applied to the 1st eye over a course of time(you are also given a Diazepam to relax you).The little nurse(i forget her name,spoke excellent English and was lovely).
Then into a changing room ,all clothes off,including underwear,and into paper scubs(trouser-top).
Into the next room.Petr comes to see you,more drops.
The nurse then takes you through to the surgical suite.

They cover you with a paper sheet thing including your face with just the eye visible.

Dr Petr explains everything that you will see and what he will be doing next.
He was simply the BEST.
Has the most fantastic bedside manner and has such a calming voice.
I am a total wuss with stuff like this,especially the eyes!
But i PROMISE you there really is nothing to worry about!!!
You do not feel any pain,during or after the procedure!
The lens replacement took about 10 mins or so.* although you are probably at the clinic between 2 and a half/3 hrs in total.
You have a patch put over it,which you change at bedtime and can remove in the morning.As soon as i was out ,me and my hubby went off out sighseeing and for lunch and drinks.

Thursday is a day of rest.

Back Friday for second eye.
I wasnt scared at all and was very relaxed ,as i knew what to expect.

PAYMENTS.

You have to pay the Health clinic in advance.Ivan sends you the link.

Then when you go for the eye tests you pay for that there and then.

And finally on the day of surgery you pay for that.

My whole experience was EXCELLENT from start to finish.

Everyone spoke fantastic English and everyone was kind and helpful.
Both the eye test clinic and the surgical pace were spotlessly clean!

We had a great time in Pragu,its a beautiful city,and BEST of all ,i have come back with new eyes!!

I could see better from the minute i had them done and my sight got better as the days ent on.

They are still healing as its not even been a week9for my second eye anyway0.

BUT i dont need glasses for anything!! My font on fone was the largest it could be and i still needed glasses. Now its on the smallest!!!

The team made this whole experience stress free and easier than food shopping, was just ease from start to end, i had surgery on one eye and 30 mins later I was out touring prague, and when I saw out that eye I was ready to jump on the table to get the next one done, I cant explain the feeling you get when you can see properly again everything is so sharp even colours, I cant thank the whole team enough the service was 10/10 better than uk at a fraction of the cost
