Waited 4 months for glass lamps shades…

Waited 4 months for glass lamps shades and when they sent them they were 2 different types and sizes but marked as they were the same. The box was different but item number the same.

Customer can't provide a decent experience

As an intermediary selling products from a number of vendors, buyer beware. I ordered a light and several minutes after ordering (I placed the order with a customer service person because the 15% discount wasn't getting applied through the web site), I realized I did not order the correct color. Less than 10 minutes after placing the order I called back and found out that getting the color changed was not possible. I had a pending charge on my card and the light was days from being shipped. I could have cancelled the order and paid a fee for an order that was not complete and not even packed for shipment, neither of which made sense or was acceptable to me. I could have waited for the light to show up to see if the color looked OK. Sending it back after receipt would have required me to pay shipping costs. Long story short - make sure you order the right thing because getting it changed is going to cost you money even if the order has not even been filled. What I received looks fine, but I'd be cautious about ordering anything from Lightopia in the future because customer service was not able to provide a decent experience. It's not the representative's fault but a serious lapse in the ability to provide a good experience.

Excellent selections, pricing, and services

overall, I have received a best in-house lighting consultations and provided excellent after services with returning wrong orders. Dirty base of lamp

The bottom/underside of the lamp I purchased was disgustingly dirty and smelly. It was as if it had been sitting in a pile of wet muck. Dirt was in all the crevices of the underside of the base. Don’t know if that happened at your warehouse or the Robert Abbey one—but it was gross. I have pictures if you want them. Lamp works but I shouldn’t have to clean up a new lamp!

Heavy replacement feeWe enjoy the product

We enjoy the product. Did not like the mounting situation very difficult to feed the screws into the thread. Had to replace hanging lamps with smaller lamps quite a heavy price for the return.
