Exceeded Expectations

Line 6 is a big company. They certainly don't need my business to survive. I am a local musician who used a host of Line 6 products without issue. One small customer support issue, however, on a known issue. First, they were quick to address the issue. Simply registered my product via website and started support ticket. Second, they went well beyond my expectations to fix the issue. That is a company I will continue to do business with and you should too.

They changed every single amp model to…

They changed every single amp model to add a random microphone that totally changed the sound.
Their reason 'it's a full model now'
Beggared the question - that's what I was sold with V1.4.....

Also all of the previous free sounds now seem to be all £ - so another reason I bought hhus in the first place is gone.

So only option for me is back to V1.40 and hours of wasted time.

Top marks, will consider other better options now.

Just had a new Android phone and have discovered the Amplify app is no longer available!!! Does this mean my Amplify 75 is now unusable? Not the first time I've been had by line 6 update removal. I will NEVER buy another Line 6 item your software is a nightmare. I'm done with you for good.

What a useless bunch of unhelpful people.

Asked this company for help with a G10 Relay from the 'Support Ticket' and I get this reply -

"Your message has been received by Line 6 but we are unable to process the request. If you are requesting Customer Support for a registered product please visit our support page to view our product documentation or create a ticket. "

So I say I dont understand and just get the same message again !!!! What a useless bunch of unhelpful people. They just cannot be bothered to help.

Terrible customer support

Terrible customer support. E mails go unanswered for over a week, every single helix update comes with an issue. Usually messes up your settings that you then have to go through to rectify. Just can't trust them.

absolute gems of the amp world

absolute gems of the amp world, i can safely say that the new catalyst 100 amp is one of the best amps i own, no valves to worry about or pedal boards to fiddle with. works best to set up your sound with a laptop.

Over all they offer nothing for support

Over all they offer nothing for support. I just bought a new amp and have been using the remote to get new tones. Well for some reason I can not log in all of the sudden to the line 6 site or the remote, to get help you have to log in, to use the remote you have to log in. They have a section of user tones you can upload or down load from. It was acting odd and messing up earlier putting 3 of the same tones on and other things and there is no help on it either other than a basic page that doesnt help. Any of the tones I had listed on the remote do not stay listed if you are not logged in for some dumb reason. They have Very poor software related to every product they make. If you can even get them anymore as a lot are discontinued. The only support you usually get is on the forums that is just other customers not line 6 and guess what? You have to log in to used it too. Can you spell DUMB. Why should people even trust the line 6 gear that is programmed if you cant even make the simple web and app stuff work????

Lack of compatability with it's own gear, awful documentation, apps not working!

Awful documentation (amp and pedel), bad compatiability information and lack of updates to compatable tec.
FVB EXPRESS MK2 with Spider 5 MK2. Tried using the pedle for the looper but nothing. I don't think it is compatable and there is no instruction on how it works. On the website it says,
"When paired with most Line 6 guitar amplifiers, the footswitches also give you total control of Quick Loop, the amps' built-in 14-second sound-on-sound looper." MOST Line 6 amps."
On the compatability chart it just mentions Spider 5 (not Spider 5 MK2). I've sent a ticket to tech to see if it IS compatible with the MK2. If it is not, why not make that ABUNDANTLY clear on the site. Some of us do not even know there was a Spider V before a Spider V MK2! And why name the pedle MK2 if it doen't work with a MK2 amp? Such a waste of my time.
I bought the pedel from a company, so may be able to return it and refunded.

Under new consumer regulations, if you purchase your product from us over the phone or online you have the right to cancel the order without any given reason as long as you contact us within 14 days of receiving your complete order. All items must be returned to us in ‘as new or showroom’ condition meaning they should show no signs of use, wear and tear or damage."
Latest android (13) does not work with ther Spider Remote app for the amp either (came out August 2022). WIll vote with my feet on this company I think!

Line 6 Helix LT

Line 6 Helix LT - within 18 months of purchase and light use, 3 faulty footswitches and a seized up expression pedal. Fixed under warranty each time but very inconvenient and doesn't bode well for the longevity of this product.

Worthless

Garbage company with Garbage customer service. Do not order ANYTHING direct from them. It will take several years for them to process your order let alone ship it. If you try to call and cancel then nobody there knows anything! Long wait times to talk to a real person who can't help you at all. Absolutely worthless!!!!! It will be a miracle if my money is refunded this year. That sloth that used to work at the DMV is now the Customer service rep at line 6. Avoid at all costs. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Tried to purchase a replacement part…

Tried to purchase a replacement part for a variax 500 guitar I owned from new. They are apparently unnavailable now. Quite a short shelf life for a £500+ instrument that is now basically rendered useless and of no resale value either. Not a great advert for modelling technology is it? As a regularly touring musician I would not recommend you buy their products and instead purchase a proper guitar/amplifier/effect unit. I have owned several of their products including an M13, 2 other variaxes, and an XT. All rather quickly gained faults. In fact my variax 600 had to be replaced 3 times at the point of purchase due to faulty electronics.
