A friend recommended these

A friend recommended these, and I thought they were just another overhyped gadget. But after using them for a few weeks, I totally get the hype! Mostly I play with it, when meeting my family.. But they can be used for everything really.

Ordered over a month ago - nothing!

Ordered over a month ago. They didn't contact me so I initiated contact via contact form. There is no email, no phone number.
They act like Hawaii is a foreign country and difficult to ship to. We get all shipping options here! We're a real state in the US.
Said they were going to ship and send tracking. No word. Nothing after several attempts. At this point, they pulled their site from Facebook and Instagram! Super scam!!!!
As of 4/25 I have yet to receive anything!
Requested a refund.
Tracking doesn't work!
It's coming, if it does, from China by boat!
Could take months!
Do not purchase from these scammers!

I just spoke with our warehouse manager, and they’ve been working hard to find reliable shipping options for Hawaii and Alaska. Since these areas are a bit more remote, we’ve done everything we can to make sure we can still deliver to you — and to all parts of the U.S.

We’ve sent you a few emails updates during the process, including a message asking whether you'd like us to go ahead and ship your order despite the longer delivery time. We understand how that might have caused some confusion, and we truly apologize for the delay and lack of clarity.

Please know our only intention was to make Lingo Plugs available to everyone, including those in harder-to-reach areas. We appreciate your patience, and despite the hiccup, we really hope you’ll enjoy your Lingo Plugs once they arrive!

I ordered from Lingo Plugs on March 13

I ordered from Lingo Plugs on March 13. Received tracking information March 14 saying it’s on its way. That was the last tracking information. Have sent several emails and only hear that they are looking into it. It is now April 9th no product and no refund like I asked for.

Highly recommended!

I had problems with this at the start because I didn't read the manual.
You HAVE to scan the QR code and download their APP for the plugs to work properly, and they work GREAT!!!
The microphone was able to pick up conversations in Spanish from another room!
Highly recommended!

Same issue as others have posted

Same issue as others have posted. Waited 2 and a half weeks for two pair of language translating headphones and received 2 pair of $5 cheap Chinese headphones. Customer support is non-responsive. I need either a refund or the proper items delivered by the end of this week for I will be forced to take other action.

Useless and waste of money

Got lifetime warranty. Received an email to access it. Link does not work, so can't save warranty document. Downloaded Aicool app to my phone tried one time to register and got a message saying I had tried too many times and was blocked. Because I cannot link plugs to the app the translation feature will not work.

This is s total scam Yes!

This is s total scam! What they sent was cheap earbuds you can get anywhere for under $5. No instruction. The item sent was not the item I ordered. Have not heard back from emails. Have called all day and up to 3:00 in the morning and number is always busy. It's interesting that they have not responded to negative reviews - now we know why.

Shitty af. I also received a banged up box with cheap headphones after waiting a long time for the order. It doesn’t look like the picture at all and are just below normal buds that don’t translate anything. SCAMMERS

I also received a banged up box that was not what I ordered they were open stereo earbuds with poor mic quality. I have sent 3 emails with no reply.

Bait and switch

I received my order today. I ordered grey and white lingoplugs but received a banged up box of some cheap bluetooth open wear stereo headphones. Seems like a scam and I receive the wrong product. Hoping Lingoplugs corrects this asap! Nothing at all like what was pictured and described.

Hope I didn’t get scammed

I received my order today. I ordered grey lingoplugs but received a banged up box of some cheap bluetooth headphones. I reached out to the company and have yet to hear back. I will update my review once I have an outcome. I feel like every-time I use Shopify as a payment method it gets intercepted by a scam and I receive the wrong product. Wondering if I should look into Shopify!! Hoping Lingoplugs corrects this asap!

I’ve sent three messages to the company.

I’ve sent three messages to the company about how to return this product. 1) through the email address listed. 2) through the feedback portal of their app.3) through their website’s contact us portal.

The interface was difficult to understand, the app worked intermittently, and it took more than 3 weeks from time of order until it was shipped from China.

Look elsewhere for similar products, they must be better than this.

UPDATE April 5, 2025 additional information as requested.

I reached out to the company on March 5 asking for a refund. They responded on March 10th asking me to contact their customer service team to fix my problem.

I informed them that I purchased this product for an overseas vacation and that I was on that vacation at the time. I reiterated my request for a refund and instructions for returning the product.

On March 12th I again received a request for me to fix my problem (I was still out of the country) and I again reiterated my request for a return label and refund. I did not hear again from them until March 21st. And they continue to ignore my request.

I began leaving negative reviews on their social media channels.

This is not a reputable company.

Excellent customer service from this store. If I could give 10 stars, I would! They were very helpful with my issue. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to buy translating earpods.

I ordered 2 one for me and one for my…

I ordered 2 one for me and one for my friend that does not speak english well. We have been using them for some days now, and works really well. It does not always translate 100% correct, but really good for everyday use.
