Shop Crashes and Total Support Failure!

We invested a massive amount of time into implementing Linguise, expecting a professional solution for our WooCommerce shop. Although the company partially refunded our license costs, the project itself was an enormous drain on our resources and ultimately failed.
1. Severe Technical Flaws & Shop Outages:
The software proved to be highly unstable in our environment. Over a period of about two weeks, we experienced massive server capacity issues and stability problems directly linked to this plugin. We encountered severe compatibility issues with various other plugins we use, which ultimately led to complete outages of our shop system.
2. Support Efforts Failed:
We were in contact with their support team back and forth for about two to three weeks. While it seems they genuinely tried their best to help us, they simply couldn't get the software to work properly or resolve the compatibility conflicts within a reasonable timeframe.
3. Cancellation of Collaboration:
Because the severe stability issues and shop downtime could not be fixed after weeks of trying, we were forced to completely deactivate the plugin and terminate our collaboration with Linguise.
Conclusion:
While we appreciate the partial refund, the enormous amount of time we lost on this failed project is highly frustrating. Based on our poor experience with the severe compatibility issues and system crashes, it was unfortunately just a massive waste of time for us.

Bad pricing model and defective

Ran the service on our Website for a year or so. Then it started generating junk translation in Hebrew and Arab. Was told by support this was caused by a bug with browser auto-translate and that they could not fix it and we has to turn off part of their service to block it. This bug burned through all of our available word bank, which you can't get back afterwards. You have a lifetime supply of some 300k words, and then once you bust that, you have to upgrade to a higher tier, which I think is a strange and exploitative business model. Support refused to give us a refund on our yearly plan. We switched to GTranslate instead.

UPDATE: the reply offered by Linguise below is partially untrue. Our Website does not have "frequently changing content". The large volume of Hebrew and Arabic language non-translations burning trough our word count are the result of a shortcoming of Linguise's tool itself, for which the only solution offered was to disable part of the defective service. This reply below is representative of what you can expect from Linguise's customer service: replies that place the blame on the shoulders of the client and a refusal to admit failure.

While translated words cannot be removed once stored, our support team added complimentary words to help restore service and prevent further disruption once the exclusions were applied.

Regarding pricing, our word quota reflects permanently stored translations rather than a monthly reset. We understand this approach may not suit every use case, and we’re continuously improving onboarding and safeguards to make usage clearer from the start. The support is really fast and good

The support is really fast and good. But we had a few little issues with there server at the beginning. The rest went really well. You can exchange certain words in all languages pretty easy and setting it up is also pretty good documented. i can highly recommend it.

The worst plugin I've ever installed on my site

I had a popular website with good traffic and wanted to increase the number of views, convinced that adding translations would bring me a flood of new visitors.
I lost over 1,000 euros counting the AI translation packages, but more importantly, I lost a huge number of visits from Google; my site was severely affected and no longer makes any money.

And even the AI-powered translations made major errors.

This plugin is only useful for online stores or for those who can rewrite and correct all the articles.

Google penalizes sites that use machine translations.

I’ve ruined the site that was my main source of income, and I still don’t know when—or if—it will ever return to normal, or if I’ll have to build a new site since I have hundreds of translated pages redirecting back to the original language after I removed Linguise.

And in my unfortunate experience, the only thing that made me smile was the impressive number of visits displayed in the Linguise dashboard—very different from the visits reported by Google Analytics or the earnings results on GAM.

The plugin works, but Google doesn’t like these plugins!

Disappointing experience with no proactive communication

We booked this service about two days ago and chose the Unlimited plan. While the translation feature works okay (not as precise or natural as DeepL or ChatGPT, especially for SEO-optimized content in other languages), we accepted these limitations.

However, something unexpected happened. Apparently, we exceeded some sort of limit, and shockingly, as paying customers, we never received any email notification or proactive outreach from the customer service team. We had to discover on our own, after several hours of confusion, that our entire account had been deactivated – without any communication or explanation.

This raises serious concerns about the quality of customer support. As paying customers, we expect a responsive and helpful support team. It feels almost like neglect when the sales team is available within seconds during the sales process, but the technical support team seems to take their sweet time when there’s an actual problem.

Right now, I’m genuinely questioning whether a long-term partnership with this service makes sense under these conditions. I’m curious to see if I ever get a response and am seriously considering whether I want to keep supporting and paying for this tool – which otherwise, from a pure functionality standpoint, is decent.

Très facile à utiliser et excellent support

J'utilise Linguise pour la traduction des sites que nous faisons avec mon agence web.
Sous WordPress, la configuration se fait en 5 minutes et je peux proposer cette solution à un très bon prix à tous mes clients.
Pour un site un peu compliqué avec le builder de GoDaddy j'ai du contacter le service clients pour le mettre en place. Il a été très réactif et s'est même occupé de la configuration à notre place.
Je recommande Linguise les yeux fermés.
