A very poorly written and inaccurate publication. The standard of journalism , in my humble opinion,is at its lowest ebb. A great shame .

Wish I could vote - score. Website not usable on iPhone. Ads and crashes constant. They want money off you. Spelling mistakes and fools writing for this thing now. The echo in Liverpool is dead! Even daily mail is better and that’s saying something!

If you could give a zero, the echo would get it. Every single thing on ther is now apparently premium,, was meant for the people but turned into a money scheme for them,,, got worse n now a joke

Shocking pages, takes forever to load, probably due to the million and one adverts, and then on top of that after reading 20 articles, they want you to pay to read anymore news?? A news company that only will update you if you pay. So if theres a man hunt for someone or danger in the area, but I've already read 20 articles that week, I'll never find out until next week? Or i encounter that danger head-on. Great news ethos. 🙄

What is going on with the Liverpool echo app it’s absolutely rubbish it doesn’t provide the news the way it used to I don’t think it’s worth its place on my iPad anymore

Almost impossible to read without an adblocker. Leaves racist comments up but to report them you have to register.

Journalists (?) on the echo trawl through Facebook for stories and looking to report latest changes to McDonald menus absolute joke of a newspaper

Sadly the news paper for local people is doing its upmost to alienate local people

The website takes an age to load, it is infested with pop ups and ads. When I am reading a story, it suddenly jumps to another part of the page because some useless image or ad has popped up. They really need to hire a new website designer. Most likely somebody with basic quals could dramatically improve the UX. Most people want to get to the information with the least amount of clicks, quick loading, zero unrelated sales/ads. Simply put, we want the path of least resistance. It seems to operate like a scam style sight or AliExpress with the amount of pointless obstacles and sensory overload. It's also much worse on mobile. I just don't use it there at all.

allways bought echo in 70s 80s and 90s...... used to read it online recently... but now its behind a paywall..... will never bother with echo again..

basically pointless and useless, no actual service to readers and/or citizens: they just write about (cheap) fashion, football and a bit of daily crime. Plus, they never reply to proper reports.
