Super friendly & understanding staff. I feel they really put in a lot of effort with my dog & the staff took extra care in ensuring we were best suited to each other & that my dog was going to his perfect home. I would definitely recommend love underdogs as a rescue centre as they are definitely trustworthy & really put the dogs needs before anyone else’s; a true understanding of what each individual dog requires when it comes to rehoming & adoption. They also ensured my dog was healthy before coming to his forever home which included a small operation all cost covered which was a huge help regarding insurance & pre existing conditions etc. A particular member of staff, Jason; worked closely with my dog & really helped me understand his needs due to his previous trauma & built up a bond before bringing him home.. for that I can’t thank Jason, & the rest of the team who made this happen, enough!

I would highly recommend Love Underdogs to anyone thinking of adopting.
They take great care in matching their dogs to potential carers, with lots of advice and recommendations.

My gorgeous Romanian rescue got safely to the Uk thanks to Love Underdogs, this wonderful rescue helped us every step of the way from home trial through adoption to make sure we had all the support we needed. I had been searching for a rescue dog for a while and looked at many rescue centre sites. The team at Love Underdogs responded quickly to my application and were very professional from the outset. The information asked for on application was extensive ( quite rightly), also our our interview.
They emphasised that there was after adoption support and a website to join to update our girls progress.

From first contact onwards, the team at Love Underdogs have been excellent and highly professional throughout, with post adoption support the icing on the cake. It was pure chance I came across their website whilst researching animal rescue centres whilst looking to take on a new dog after my border collie cross had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart mass the year before. I was impressed with the website and their approach.
They had a few dogs I thought I would be interested in, but overlooked the one they felt best matched my profile. Following a successful home trial period, I adopted Rosie, and she has been amazing. There are inevitably challenges with taking on a dog with having had a difficult first few years of their lives, and adjustments to make depending on their learned behaviours from those experiences; but the rewards of giving these dogs the chance they deserve of a good life and loving home, then seeing them thrive and bond so well with their new owners is just very special.
I read all the earlier reviews (which replicated my experience too), and wondered if there was anything else I could usefully say. The team at Love Underdogs will give you everything you need to make it work for you, your new dog, and everyone involved, and you can safely place your trust and confidence in them.

From the moment we got in touch, the team at Love Underdogs gave us so much support and advice so we could find the right dog for us and help settle us in.

They really listened to us and our lifestyle and the quirks of our home, and even sent us personalised training videos to show us how we could help pixie meet and learn to accept our visiting cat.

They told us everything about what to expect and what to do so we had the best chance of having a good first meeting with Pixie. And I believe it’s thanks to this support that Pixie has settled so well with us and felt comfortable with us from the beginning.

Since bringing her home the support has continued. They would check in regularly for the first month and after that whenever we’ve had questions they’ve got back to us quickly and with advice that genuinely helps.

Thank you so much to the whole team for being so friendly, reassuring and supportive. It’s the best rescue experience we’ve ever had. And we love our Pixie 💜🐾🧚‍♀️

We adopted Bella from Love underdogs in December 23. They have been so incredibly supportive throughout. They are there for you whenever you need them for both advice and support and are keen for updates on how we're getting on. They really care. We sen them a description of our lifestyle and the kind off dog we wanted and the recommended Bella to us. She is the perfect dog for us we love her a lot.

My dog was a massive part of my life - sadly, circumstances meant that he had to stay in kennels for a while, and then I had to make the most difficult decision, to have him rehomed. Love Underdogs found him a suitable home straight away! The updates they've provided have shown me that he's now living his best life - I really couldn't ask for any more. My dog was cared for and then placed in the perfect home. The work these guys do is amazing and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

From our very first interactions with Love Underdogs we were impressed with their ethos and values. We were enquiring about a cute looking chap who sounded awesome and challenging in equal measure. The team at LU took the time to speak with us as many times as needed to ensure that we had understood and were fully informed about Paddy's behaviours and what would be required of us if we were to meet his needs, before we began the meeting process. It was clear that Paddy's wellbeing was the top priority and that they wanted to find a good match for him and give him the best chance of success. After a necessary amount of progressive face to face introductions had taken place and it had been determined that Paddy was accepting of us we brought him home and have never looked back. It hasn't been without its challenges but with positive and pragmatic post-adoption support from Love Underdogs it really feels like a rewarding team effort! We can't thank them enough for what they have done for Paddy and what they are doing for all the other Underdogs.

Love Underdogs are fantastic! 3 days ago I officially adopted Chip (previously Beni). He is a gorgeous, affectionate, playful, little dog who has just turned 1, and he has already become best friends with my Boxer dog Roxy, whilst we had him on a home trial. We knew he was the dog for us the moment we met him and it wouldn't have been possible without Lauren at Love Underdogs. She has been excellent in the rehoming process. She gave us lots of information on Chip and his background & personality, and she made it a smooth, happy process for us.
Lauren really cares about all the dogs there as do all the staff, and I feel good knowing Chip was well looked after whilst he was in their care.
If you want to adopt a dog, I highly recommend Love Underdogs. Mistreated dogs that are rescued from abroad, deserve a loving home just as much as the dogs already here in the UK. LU help make that happen.

Love underdogs are simply brilliant, we have had our wonderful pooch for 7 years now and love underdogs have always been there for us. They never give up on us owners or the dogs and are super supportive. They even help with boarding when you know your dog might be a little challenging. We would highly recommend.

Always focused on doing the very best for the dogs

The way they treat the dogs in their charge makes me want to join them! Every dog gets two cuddle sessions and two walks every day. One walk is in Epping Forest and one is the opportunity to run free in their enclosed field. All the time they are working* on the dogs training to prepare them for life in a family home

We had been looking for a rescue dog and tried the usual channels without success as we were not impressed with the lack of information available. I came upon the LU website and was immediately impressed with the comprehensive information for each of the dogs on the site. After the application was accepted and we had a successful home check visit, Tanzy was chosen as a suitable dog for us. We went to meet her and loved her on sight. We spent a few hours with her at the kennels then were delighted that we were able to take her home. We were given lots of information and we knew we would have the support of LU at anytime. It was not easy at first as she had some fear aggression but we gave her as much love, time and patience as she needed. Within a few months she was like a different dog. The joy she has brought to our lives is immense. I cannot recommend LU enough. The team care so much for their charges and their work is impressive.

Love Underdogs saved my life. We got Ada just before lockdown. Love Underdogs vetted her and knew she was right for us. My wife has dementia, my daughter has Down’s syndrome and the main dog rescue centres all voiced doubt we were suitable for a rescue dog despite my vast experience with dogs, Love Underdogs were different and we are now blessed.

My husband was quite reluctant due to hearing some horror stories about dogs being delivered straight off transport lorries at service stations, arriving in poor health with medical/ behavioural issues.
Love underdogs bring all their dogs to their kennels in the uk where they stay for full assessments and vet checks.
Staff get to know and understand them individually. We had a thorough home check before being invited to the kennels to meet our potential dog .
She came with a lifetime back up from LU, they were on hand with advice to help with the settling in period and have checked in over the years to make sure all is well with her.
I cant recommend them enough
We adopted Floss ( was whisper) in 2015 and she is the most incredible dog.

I have adopted from Love Underdogs and fostered for them. What sets them apart from other rescues, in my opinion, is the lifetime support they provide. We had free sessions with a behaviourist when we encountered a problem, despite the fact it was a few years after we adopted. Their matching system is also fantastic, they’ll tell you exactly what you need to know about a dog you’re interested in, warts & all (if there are any warts that is!). So for example, if you want a couch potato, they won’t match you with a dog that’s full of energy! The work they do to improve the lot of strays in Romania with their partners, like the speying & neutering programme is amazing too.
