the worst service charging a 50% fee giving terms and conditions after the fact and using hertz car rental company as there fleet range what a joke do not use them worst serviced be aware they charge you 50% fee for cancelation 48hrs before under 48hrs no refund 5 days or mor 20% fee go direct to the car hire place don't use this rip off middle man service

I had a need to hire a vehicle to help my son pick up a huge mirror from a home maker store -- it was 2 metres wide.
I spoke to Steven, a sales advisor on their 1 300 number. Steven patiently listened to my needs, then suggested a range of vans they had to offer, where the closest available vehicle could be picked up and the rental was sorted in a matter of minutes.
Low Cost Self Drive is a business offering excellent customer service, expertise and a no fuss solution which I thoroughly recommend.

Ridiculous company. Makes a big deal off offering the lowest possible price...makes you pay full amount up front ($120 plus insurance ).. then calls back with we can't find a vehicle at that price anywhere close to your location ( 50km closest ) but can find locally at $280 plus insurance and did i want that one?. when asked why they can't honour price and obvious contact we have agreed on they explained that they are a manager company that just looks around for deals and don't actual have any vehicle themselves. Return of fund was quite easy almost as if they had done it many times before !! Just a complete waste of my time.

I had a trip planned to Sydney, Australia and required a 12-seater bus over the Christmas/New Year period. I searched everywhere online to no avail. Enter Sunny and 'Low Cost Self Drive '. Sunny was incredible in searching and finding a vehicle to match my requirements for the trip and budget. He had a vehicle booked and reserved within a very short time. Sunny provided support and assistance, answering my many questions throughout the process. He was extremely tolerant with me as it was my first time hiring a vehicle with a lot on the line. I was quite stressed about the whole thing, however, Sunny was very calm and made me feel assured. When I arrived in Sydney, the bus was there for pick-up and ran like a dream for the two weeks I needed it for.

Today I was pretty stressed out trying to find a 25 seater bus for a up and coming trip for our community social club to Chinchilla to support a town event.
After doing a massive search around for the last couple of weeks I decide to try Low cost self drive.
Damien spoke to me and got straight on to the task of trying to secure a bus for our trip. He got back to me within a couple of hours to let me know that there was no availability on a 25 seater in the Ipswich region, but he would try to secure us 2 x 12 seaters.
Damien did his best to try an assist me in finding what we needed. Although we didn't end up securing a bus through Damien, I would highly recommend Damien as his customer services high level. Yes, I will look forward to using Low cost self drive services again in the future.
