Bought investment grade standard bullion coins from LPM HK shipped to Australia. The nightmare still ongoing and I cannot take more.

I have bought from UK (Royal Mint and Singapore (Bullionstar) who use UPS. Never have been hassled by courier and their broker asking for payment of GST duties! Products always delivered without me involved in the bloody customer clearance saga.

With LPM, I Received a bill from FedEx for approx $540 GST duties for less than $4000 worth of GST exempted silver/gold coins.

I have been trying to work with FedEx providing weblinks to tax laws of Australian GST law and importation rules. All government officials website stuff. In addition, I have provided them with profound evidences how a gold / silver coins are bought / sold / imported in Australia GST tax free. I have been printed completed signed delectations declaring my purchases meet Australian laws and are GST exemption.

FedEx and their broker are now holding back the custom clearance, because “Broker” thinks some of the coins are collectible hence subject to GST in Australia !!!!!

This is ridiculous!!!!

It’s been 4 days and the bloody I wrote to LPM asking for support. They do not take calls. Everything must be emails and they don’t respond to logistic issues!!!!!

Should have checked their poor reviews before I buy .

Beware of this shop! This shop is scam money. This shop not honest better don’t deal, I online paid 50k worth of silver and they failed to deliver all even though I paid full, 2/3 of the order I paid was told , ready only aft some months , they told me is pre order which is nonsense. I had to call police to resolve but I lost 10% for those they can’t deliver as they insisted good not ready collect , sound like scammers, I was at shop today 3-630pm another customer told me his 90k sliver only receive partial good and he very disappointed. I won’t ever step into this store. This shop only 6 Mth old and definitely not reliable and professional. I had to make trip twice and call police to resolve. Really horrible . Dont order online or buy too much they tends to cheat, and only give partial good! I deal silver in sg past 20yr with many shops none like that, so scary , thank God, police help me but i lost 10% of paid. Better than get back nothing! Beware!!!!! Don’t deal!!!!

SCAMMERS Don’t use this company they are scammers. We brought a cabin they have given us 3 delivery dates and have failed to turn up each and every time. Now we can’t get hold of them. We are now fighting to get our money back

This company is a complete scam. Gets paid, complains about the first payment, but won't refund until you pay again in a different way. Completely untrustworthy.

I'm a reasonably big coin collector in Australia and LPM is not my cup of tea.To my fellow collectors try to avoid.For example coins are minted like the 2025 colour brumby mintage 1500 consignment goes to LPM . Like today $179 at Melbourne Coins but $235 at LPM to get an Australian minted legal tender coin back to Australia from these Hong Kong piriahs.Furthermore they overcharge for delivery, they are not customer friendly like most Australia dealers .
Try to avoid if possible and be patient.Wait for the coins to come up on Australian websites, don't jump in and buy from LPM for FOM

Plenty of live stock for selection in their showroom with price listed on the website clearly. best offer for major coins and bars in hk as far as i know.

Sold silver significantly under spot price. The sales said 一口價，唔鍾意可以唔賣。 Questionable attitude in my opinion

Terrible company to deal with. Run late on international fulfilment of order, then tell you they can't supply and offer a cancellation where they keep your money and you can buy something else off them in the future. So a credit amd not a refund. Please don't buy from them. Nothing but trouble. You most likely won't get your money back.

After 3 weeks of negotiating a deal to finally finalize a buy of a bundle of 8 coins and silver, and some golden bullion coins, and making a digital booking for 3.15 pm (9 days prior to yesterday), things went haywire. Around 5 foreigner customers and myself and 1 local Hong Konger were made to wait 1.5 hours with no explanation given. SIMPLY needed to drop off a cheque and some cash to pick up my order. Untrained staff and horrendously bad service. Best to buy on discount and ship locally in Hong Kong as service is the worst I have every experienced in Hong Kong.Common sense isn't common here what's so ever at all, and no follow through.

I guess, they don't looking for customers. I asked them two simple questions, if they buy Gold from customers who had not yet bought from you in the past and if they can transfer the money to my Hang Seng bank account via FPS. They give me an answer for a question which I didn't asked. By the way, they also charge UDS 50 for a simple transfer within HK! USD not HKD!!!

Worst company ever! I have bought over 40k in metals from them in less than a year. I always wire the money but now because of some 3D-1 secure requirement for a credit card they won’t even allow me to place an order. I requested that they just allow my card to be officially declined but they won’t even do that. It is unbelievable how horrible this company is!! They can care less about your business and they will do nothing to resolve a simple issue like making sure your credit card company sees that you are making an attempt to make a purchase so they can correct the issue. I have delt with many bullion site and most don’t even require a credit card when paying by wire. I have made 21 purchases since September of 2021 and all by wire transfer and they still won’t work with me. The only thing Conclusion I can come too is that they are racist and don’t want the business from a biracial American

Had a very bad experienced with LPM which forfeit 15% deposit for my first purchase. Have no idea why 1st transaction just deduct 15% deposit which is not full amount and all remind email was go to junk mail. When I noticed the issue already immediate pay for the amount and proceed for the order but they informed cant reimburse the deposit. Be careful as LPM just work like a scam website.
I won’t be dealing through them again.

Good customer service and good selection of gold bullion coins but (1) premiums are a bit high compared to what one can get in the US and UK so therefore might be cheaper to buy abroad and ship to HK and (2) LPM is a bit cheeky with the gold "spot" price they show on their website as they do not state a source and it is consistently about $10/ounce higher than the futures contract or London gold price which I think they do to make their premiums look smaller than they are.

They have no problem selling gold but they didn’t save my purchase records and then charged me a huge premium on buy back.

I won’t be dealing through them again.

Polite customers service and so on but at the end of the day they need to spend some money on upgrading their IT systems as it is clearly sub standard - took so long to open an account, which they state is operational, but does not let one log in ! that I gave up. And I am not some technophobe.
Save yourself a week of headache and wasting your time with forms.
And if they can't get that right then I am nervous to send them any $$.

The LPM team is always friendly and helpful. I'm a regular customer there and in their office in HK they really take the time to fulfil my wishes. The prices for the products are very attractive, but mostly you have to act fast. ;-) Without a doubt I can recommend this company.

My go-to shop in HK, have been buying from them for over 5 years, even after I moved out of HK. Wide variety of coins and usually OK prices, good (but sometimes slow) customer service, good location in Central, but also reasonable international shipping costs (in which case their packaging seems designed to withstand a plain-crash). Only complaint is the rip-off premium for small silver quantities (Sometimes you just fancy a coint without wanting to buy 100 of them, but no negotiation even if that is part of a larger purchase). Note: avoid USD payments, as their bank deducts about 9 USD in fees.
