m-eat! Biltong Reviews 

I’ve been buying M-Eat biltong for a good many months now and I have enjoyed most of the flavours they offer. I believe the 1 star reviews to completely unrepresentative of the quality of their product AND their customer service. I found that one month I was shy two packets of biltong, after reaching out and speaking with their team, two packets were swiftly sent out to me and I received them the following week.

I first tried m-eat! biltong at an underground station shop. Loved it, so I checked out their reviews. In spite of seeing some bad reviews, I decided to order based on my own taste experience and I was not disappointed. I ordered a few packs last Thursday and they were at my door by Monday. I ate the garlic flavoured one today and must say that it was AWESOME!

I can honestly say as a South African that this is the best biltong and drywors I have had in a long time.

I ordered expecting it to be delivered within 2-4 days as stated on the web site 10 days later still no biltong ,tried to get a refund to be told they are unable to take action ,not recommended.

Been over 2 weeks and still haven’t received…

Terrible, ordered weeks ago and stil haven't got my order. Customer service stopped replying to my emails too. Looking at the other reviews I'm not alone, what a scam.

Opened a packet of their biltong and it was covered in mould, I emailed customer service but the company doesn't take responsibility for the poor quality just tries to pass the problem onto someone else.

Terrible product, service and experience. I had ordered the trial box to see if it was something I'd like to have regularly. When it arrived the quality of the meat was really poor so I decided to cancel the subscription. My account had not been properly created so I assumed it had been cancelled until I was charged again. I contacted them to make sure no product arrived but it did. I asked to return it and refund but they refused and are now not responding to my contact so I am left with a product I don't want and can't return.

The trial box is a rip off, they show in the picture 75G pouches, 4 for £9.99+PP and they send you in the trial 35G bags, that make the trial cost over £70 a kilo! Double of the normal product..., avoid this is deceiving a simple scam.

Good but inconsistent.

I have been subscribed to m-eat for a while now, and the quality and consistency of the meat varies. Some of the packets received are of the highest quality, with soft, succulent, flavourful biltong that is genuinely delicious. Other packs contain biltong that is dry, crumbly and full of sinew- very inconsistent.

From ordering to receiving seems to take at least 7-8 days which is very slow by today's standards, and the price does not justify the inconsistency received.

Meat have a very good product concept but I think they need to make their processes simpler and more efficient and check the quality of each batch so that it is consistent.

I have rated 4 stars because I have not complained, and I think it's unfair to leave a bad review without giving them the chance to rectify.

Made the mistake of ordering from this company again. The product itself is great but the delivery is shocking. 3 years ago it took 2 weeks for items to arrive and things haven't changed, im still waiting almost 2 weeks later. Covid is not an excuse as other companies are able to deliver via royal mail within days, and 3 years ago Covid wasn't around but it was the same then. They also have a delivery charge for orders under £35, what for exactly? To be delivered within the month?! Best to shop elsewhere, I will be from now on. My mistake to think they would have changed

Delicious, really good quality biltong. I’ve done two single orders and am going to move over to a subscription as it fits really well with my goal of increasing my protein while still enjoying what I eat! Quick delivery and lovely, responsive customer service team when I had a query.

Great service. My delivery arrived quickly and well packaged and the product, Chilli Chutney, was delicious. Will be ordering again.

Scammers, not sent, not received, not communicated

M-Eat is one of the best dried meats I have tasted. I enjoy jerking my own meats and m-eats truely compares to mine. They are tasty and have just the right moisture content.

I started a subscription with m-eat! and have so far been blown away. Their website is simply and easy to use, their customer service is great and most importantly their product taste amazing.
Very happy with them! Looking forward to more products in the future.

We’ve ordered biltong from m-eat a couple of times already and it's so good! We love how it tastes and the quality of the meat! Highly recommended!
