After waiting three years from my first visit to Edinburgh to finally have these belts made, I can honestly say the experience exceeded every expectation.

I wasn’t the easiest customer - I had an incredibly tight timeframe because I was in Edinburgh on a work trip. Despite that, the team at Mackenzie Leather couldn’t have been more accommodating. They had my belts made, invited me into the shop to confirm the measurements against the belts, and had all three finished and ready in just 45 minutes.

The service didn’t stop there. As I couldn’t get back to the shop before leaving due to work commitments, Simon personally arranged to courier the belts to my office. That level of customer care is genuinely the best I’ve ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

The belts themselves are absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship is exquisite, the leather is beautiful, and it’s clear that every piece is made with incredible skill and attention to detail. These are heirloom-quality items that I’ll be proud to wear for many years.

A very happy customer as usual, just updating my Edinburgh Briefcase. I was of course
trying to match the color of the case with various shades of blue jeans. The case started off brown, but then got a bit red so
I called Andrew who reminded me that the leather "evolves" as the patina develops.
l ultimately figured out that the present color of the briefcase pairs quite
well with the outfits I'll wear while carrying it. Everyone who sees the bag comments on the unique color.
So I did some research on tanneries and on Mackenzie's (very) high quality hides and found that the bag will patina
to Mahogany, and an oxblood brown. It is fascinating to see how different areas of the bag throw off various shades of cognac,
chestnut, saddle brown, and even some purple in different lighting conditions. I feel privileged to own such an heirloom piece
where every few months I can discover new hues, shades, and tones. Thanks again to the Mackenzie team.
