Suspicious website using the MagnusBilling name — no response from support
ChatGPT recommended this website to me. However, after making a payment, I began to suspect that it might not be connected to the legitimate MagnusBilling project and could be using the MagnusBilling name in a misleading way.
These are the reasons for my concerns:
The identity of the website owner and the company is not clearly disclosed.
The domain registration information is hidden.
Only cryptocurrency payments are accepted.
Payments below USD 50 are not accepted.
Cryptocurrency payments cannot normally be reversed, making it extremely difficult to recover your money.
I could not find a clear company address, verifiable business registration, or reliable refund process.
After paying USD 50, I was unable to use the service. Although the SIP account registered successfully in X-Lite:
Some calls disconnected immediately.
In other cases, the recipient’s phone rang and the call was answered, but there was no audio.
The calls then disconnected automatically.
Calls could not be made through the website’s own web softphone either.
I reported the problem to technical support in detail but received absolutely no response. They did not attempt to resolve the issue and did not even reply to my messages.
I paid with cryptocurrency for a service that does not work, and I am requesting a refund of my unused balance. At this time, I have been unable to verify that this website has any official connection to the legitimate MagnusBilling project. I have serious concerns that the MagnusBilling name may be used simply to create a false sense of trust.
Before paying this website, I strongly recommend verifying its company identity, its official relationship with MagnusBilling, and its refund policy. Accepting cryptocurrency only, requiring a minimum USD 50 payment, hiding company information, and completely ignoring support requests are serious red flags for me.
