Over the month prior to purchasing I had made several enquiries via the online sale team. I was talking to Andrea for most or the time.
Having made some offers we eventually agreed on prices for a couple of gold chains. Inpaid and got confirmation from Andrea that payment had been received and the chains were sent out next day.
Received the day after that. Very happy with my purchases and will be back to buy more from them in the future.
Responses were quick and helpful from Andrea and she was polite all the time. Even spoke on the phone.

Basildon store were so helpful in restoring my diamond in my engagement ring 💍 it looks so beautiful again
They went above and beyond it looks just like it would have when my Nan wore it all those years ago! Martine searched for our original picture and the jeweller has done a fabulous job cannot thank them enough!!

I took several items from my late grandmother, that I thought were just costume jewellery (Brooches, pendants and rings)

The ladies welcomed me and were straight into valuing, what I thought were worthless pieces of jewellery.

Within minutes I was proved very wrong! A clear explanation of the material and value of each item.

I sold a couple of gold coins at the Ilford branch . I was served by Debbie . Very nice and professional service provided by her . No pressure to sell and felt very comfortable. Competitive rates so I would definitely recommend this place if looking for excellent customer service.

Mallard is a superb, quality jewellers with an outstanding business ethic. Their employees are knowledgeable, personable and have a "can do" attitude. Dave, the Manager is always very helpful: his knowledge of luxury watches is phenomenal.
I have used the Southend branch for years for secondhand items: I regularly benchmark their prices against market majors which are always spot on. Highly recommended.

Excellent. Never used this jeweller before, despite walking past many times. Needed two watch batteries replacing quickly, another well known high street jeweller said they couldn’t do it as they didn’t have the tools and directed me elsewhere 🤷‍♀️ so I decided to try here. Staff very helpful, no quibbles, said could do straight away whilst I went shopping elsewhere. Returned half hour later and watches ready and set to correct time. Price very reasonable for great service. Lovely retail space, very well kept and welcoming. Will use this jeweller again when I have other jewellery needs.

We had a brilliant experience at the Southend store with the Manager Dave. I was selling items in order to buy a replacement wedding/engagement ring that had caught my eye in their window! Dave was very professional and caring, making sure I would not regret selling certain of the items. I had previously spoken to Dave on the phone and he knew and understood my reasons and the fact that I couldn’t wear any of my rings and had not for years and this upset me greatly. My husband and I were delighted that we raised enough cash to cover the new ring and it is beautiful and better still I was able to retain my original engagement ring because Dave very kindly gave us a discount on the new ring. We left Mallards over the moon, Thankyou Dave.

We visted the Basildon branch and what an amazing service we had from Tina, she provided outstanding customer service by spending time with us to find out what we were looking for and we left extremely happy with our purchase, thank you Tina.

I lost my husband in 2024 and had his wedding ring on a necklace for a while but I’m not really a jewellery person so I decided to have it made smaller so I could wear it with my wedding ring. So glad I did this as it looks amazing and the jeweller did a great job. Would highly recommend and would return for any further jewellery adjustments.

I received first class service, the staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful.
They called me a week later when my watch was returned by the watchmaker, who had done a wonderful job.

I took some jewellery in to sell after being recommended by a high street jewellery brand.

I spoke to a pleasant gentleman named Paul, he was very helpful and professional and I never felt that I was wasting anybody’s time.

Paul took his time looking at each piece of jewellery, doing the tests to confirm they were genuine. There were three pieces that I wasn’t sure of and he gave me them back.

The other items were legitimate and three of them were certified in 2001. He offered me a great price for the rest and I agreed.

I was very happy with the outcome and the whole experience.

What a lovely jewellers in Southend. I bought a beautiful ring. Dave the assistant was so very helpful. I had to have it made smaller and it was delivered very quickly by special delivery.

I recommend this jewellers . I went into the Southend shop today having seen a lovely antique diamond ring in the window. I was served by a young lady called Chloe , it was her first day working in the shop. She was an absolute delight as was the manager who I chatted with during & after I purchased the ring. It’s not my first purchase from this shop but just thought I would leave a review as I’ve been happy with all the items I have bought and the staff have always been a pleasure to deal with. I was excited to hear they also have other branches with different stock. I shall definitely give those a visit in the near future.
