When I first enrolled in Elaine Loh’s GMAT class, I had little to no familiarity with the exam. From the very beginning, Elaine created a welcoming environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification. Her approachable teaching style immediately put me at ease and gave me the confidence to actively participate from day one.

Over the duration of her class, my GMAT score increased by over 150 points, ultimately placing me in the top 8% of all test takers. Notably, I achieved a Verbal Reasoning score in the top 1% and a Data Insights score in the top 5%. This remarkable improvement is a direct result of Elaine’s guidance and dedication.

Elaine consistently stayed after class to help with challenging problems, a gesture that always meant a lot to me. Even though this was a group course, it truly felt like individualized instruction due to her genuine investment in each student’s success.

As someone with mild ADHD, I find studying form books more effective.

After exploring various options, lurking on forums and reading reviews, I decided on Manhattan GMAT books, largely because they are known for having questions that are more challenging than those of the actual test.

I spent about 2 months preparing for the GMAT using the Manhattan GMAT 10-book set, and I can say with confidence that my 710 score (first attempt!) is thanks to these books. They provided me with extensive practice, helping me recognize patterns and develop strategies for each of them.

Highly recommended for anyone serious about their GMAT prep!

Elaine was a great tutor. Not only were her explanations to challenging questions easy to understand, but she gave me techniques to make my studying the most effective and helped set expectations. Whitney! I took the course two times and the first instructor was totally decent, but the second time I got Whitney and she was PHENOMENAL. She is literally solid gold GMAT tutoring. Honestly, she made every event fun, really gave you a sense that she CARED about you, and really seemed to be enjoying herself! Plus, it was a bonus that she was featured in the video lessons, including the hilarious ones with puppets! It really gave me confidence that she knew what she was doing from experience and had clearly invested a lot into this job. I raised my GMAT score by about 40% (from a 480 to a 860) and got accepted into my chosen university. Hurray!

I took the GMAT prep course with Daniel. Daniel is an amazing teacher, he took the time to set expectations, walk us through concepts and practice problems, and encourage us along the way. The class was a mix of small group and full-class discussions, with Daniel periodically monitoring the former and lecturing in the latter. This approach gave students with varying learning styles the best of both worlds. It also ensured that students maintained focus throughout the class; they were either solving problems, explaining their reasoning to other students, or listening to other students (and eventually Daniel) explain the solutions. He is also accessible via email.

I completed the 9-week Manhattan Prep GMAT course with David "Dave", and I must express my utmost gratitude for the experience. Dave's teaching prowess, coupled with the vibrant class environment he cultivated, made my GMAT preparation not only effective but also enjoyable.

Elaine was tremendously helpful. She helped boost my score 130 points. She's extremely patient, understanding and does a great job identifying weaknesses. I couldn't have improved my score this much if it wasn't for her!!

I recently completed a 9-week in-person GMAT Prep Course by Manhattan Prep with instructor Reed out of New York City. Deciding to take this class was the best decision I made in my GMAT journey and Reed was much more than just an instructor for me and my classmates. My favorite thing about Reed is that he does not sugar coat things - he makes it clear that getting the score you want on the GMAT requires a lot of work, but he also provides all the information you need to get a great score, and will be your partner along your entire journey. His classes were not only interesting and informative, but somehow also fun and entertaining, oftentimes making the class the highlight of my week. I would strongly recommend anyone take a class at Manhattan Prep if they are planning to take the GMAT, and would 100% recommend taking the class with Reed if possible. On the diagnostic practice test I took before the course started I scored 480, and at the end of the course, my final official GMAT score was 710.

Truly, his help on quant & overall test-taking strategy was worth its weight in gold. He made things so easy to understand, he was able to come up with a personalized lesson plan super quickly, was respective of my time and gave relevant homework assignments that were all linked in his form. He just made things so easy, and really helped me understand how to do well. He gave me so much confidence, and it really paid off!

I cannot recommend him enough. If you feel like you've hit a plateau, or especially if you don't even know where to start, he can help you build from the ground up.

I would highly recommend Manhattan Prep for GMAT tutoring. Josh was extremely knowledgable and knew the exam back to front. In the 4 months I was working with him, my score improved 140 points. I only took the test once and my ultimate score was higher than my outside goal at the beginning of the course. Josh did a great job of assigning work and relevant practice problems. We were able to hone in on specific skills that I needed to work on. Breaking up the test made it a lot more manageable and I really appreciated the structure. I've recommended Manhattan Prep to many friends and coworkers looking to study for the GMAT and truly think it is the best decision to get through this phase!

I took the Manhattan Prep GRE for MBA class with Jerry and it was a great experience. In addition to providing thorough instruction on all the academic material necessary to take the GRE, Jerry also equipped our class with effective mindfulness strategies that, to me, really made all the difference on test day. Additionally, all the materials provided by the MPrep team (books, online instruction, practice tests) were very useful. I highly recommend Manhattan Prep, and especially a class with Jerry.

I took the online GMAT course with Stacey staring January 2023.
+ Books are amazing. The 3 tiered structure of foundational, primary and advanced material works well.
+ There are SO many useful strategies that are covered on the Manhattan Prep online portal during and during class. This applies to each section of the GMAT. These are game changers, since it really helps you structure your studies. GMAT is about more than just the study material.
+ The big benefit for me of using the course vs self study , is the structure that is enforced. We all have content areas we are weak at and tend to ignore. But the course gives you a clear study plan, diverse set of homework assignments every week and improves skills like time management.
+ Stacey - The biggest benefit for me was taking the course with Stacey. She is the primary author on most of the books, takes the time to reply to every query in great depth and helps tailor a study plan for you. Every class was amazing.
