The room with balcony was great and clean. unfortunately the hotel was not up to standard from there. Don't bother arriving early ,there's no one there, doors are locked until 3pm. After booking in and for the rest of the stay we had to come and go via the tradesman entrance, which is directly next to the many bins, with the shabby and smelly stairs which were awful. No hospitality at all. We had to go down to cafe ,which is open to the public, and the food on offer was not appealing. Don't bother with the toast. All in all we came home a day early . Disappointed with the whole episode

Andy and his team went above and beyond to make a weekend birthday surprise even better. The room was clean and well appointed. The shower was a squeeze tho.
Room very clean and the sea view was great, although only minimally affected by the scaffolding.

We stayed for one night and that was enough.
Covered in scaffolding and workmen on site which made it quite perilous.
Room dingy,bathroom couldn’t swing a mouse let alone a cat.
Hopefully they will be doing more than outside work, because the inside is woeful,
Still using Yale keys to access the bedroom, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen that.
Suggest if you’re looking at this hotel you look elsewhere.

The Marine Hotel is shabby under it's current dressing of scaffolding. It's unclear if the place is undergoing refurbishment or just having its roof fixed. Everything is just not quite right or just half done.
Out toom was ok, one of the better according to other guests we talked to. Basic but modern furnishings give it a smart feel. However. half the room had had a coat of paint but the other walls were covered in scuffs. It has a newish looking carpet, but this was covered in some nasty stains, it was clear there was a large liquid spill near the room door. We didn't want to know what kind, staff's only answer was they'd let maintenance know to replace the carpet. The bathroom had new flooring, shower and sink etc but the shower cubicle had black algae in the corners, and the bathroom window was cracked. Even the in room coffee facilities were off. New kettle, well stocked but with two different size cups
The room had a lovely view of the pool plant room and very patchy wifi.
The pool, which looked quite pleasant, smelled not quite right and had a scum layer floating on top. This was in the basement which is badly dilapidated, and there were no changing facilities available at the time of this review.
The hotel has scaffolding for roof repairs and the staff told us refurbishments were under way, but it's unclear what part of the hotel is being refurbished. It looks like every area has been updated just enough to be presentable, but not to be of any decent standard. The corridor to our room was reminiscent of a dodgy bedsit. Damp visible above the door, doors with holes where old locks were fitted, and crumbling paint and plaster around the wall sockets. The entrance to our corridor was decorated with a dusty plastic bay tree, in a pot filled with foam and a dusty bin liner.
We came on a Shearing's Holiday, and food was included. We elected to eat elsewhere as the food was so poor. Even the bar food was a massive step up in quality. Room service was patchy, though staff were generally friendly and helpful.
If you're looking for somewhere pleasant to stay and enjoy your visit to Llandudno, choose a different hotel.
I'm not a particularly fussy person. I'm happy in a budget hotel as long as it's clean, well maintained and the food is decent. This hotel is none of those.

Very outdated lovely view of scaffolding not much choice on menu for evening meal pool needs a good clean smell of dogs in my room stain on carpet looks like dog urine very dissatisfied will not be returning old I recommend it dogs allowed to walk around hotel not nice especially in dining room disgusting

The hotel was dated it was like a building site dangrous scaffolding poor room only two sockets poor wifi also lack of lifts shower small room was clean food was good staff great travelled ftom highlands was looking forward as the pic looked great and the reviews were good very dissapointed

My daughter booked an Afternoon Tea for my Grandson and I. We arrived and were seated promptly but from then on it very quickly went downhill.
Our drinks order was taken but our stand didn’t arrive until a good 30 minutes later with the result my tea was luke warm. I asked a passing waiter for a pot of hot water but unfortunately that did not arrive either. After 25 minutes I again asked a waiter to be told the water was “coming”. Obviously this was unacceptable so a request for a coffee for me, a second coffee for my daughter and an orange for my grandson. Another wait of 20 or so minutes ensued before we got our drinks. The staffs attitude, especially by a waitress named Casey, was dismissive and disrespectful.
The Afternoon Tea stand was to say the least, uninspiring! Only 2 fingers of sandwiches and the sausage roll was cold and the pastry quite inedible. A bite sized waver biscuit with smoked salmon was the best item on it.
Bizarrely there was 9 large scones but only two tiny jams and cream. None of us enjoyed any of the cakes. The whole Afternoon Tea experience along with the service was simply appalling.
When presented with the bill, I was told that the Service Charge which I always presumed optional, had been deleted along with the extra charge for the two coffees and the orange!! Quite why a charge was made for the orange as it was the only drink my grandson had was beyond me. My coffee was in place of the cold tea and my daughter’s second coffee should have been included so the deduction was really null and void anyway.
In the end a deduction of 20% was made making the total bill £78. This in no way made up for the whole unenjoyable experience along with the mediocre food. They should go along the road to Greywalls where they know how an Afternoon Tea should be presented.

Called in for a coffee and was greeted by a pleasant young gentlemen named Daniel. The coffee and service was impeccable. Beautiful hotel

My disabled friend and I booked a superior sea view room for a 3 night stay, and on arrival were told that both lifts were broken. No-one had let us know. My friend can not use stairs. We had no choice but to look for another hotel. The hotel have disregard for mobility issues and do not really seem to be bothered about the distress caused. A refund was arranged, which would take days to arrive, and luckily as it was early February, we got fixed up elsewhere - it was distressing and avoidable. This was not a cheap booking but we would have been treated better at a backstreet b and b! This is not the luxury hotel it pretends to be on the website and there is no customer care.

The worst thing about this hotel is the booking system and allocation of rooms. A child could probably do better. I had a conversation with a man who was given details of what was needed for disabled access and I was assured that those needs would be met. On arrival, those needs had been completely disregarded. I asked for assistance with luggage, which was dumped outside the room. The room could not be accessed using a mobility walker on the 3rd floor, as the corridors were not as wide as the walker. A room near the lift was booked, but it was a very long way away from the lift down very narrow corridors with several very heavy fire doors which are too much for a disabled person trying to drag a walker sideways to a room. No assistance was given finding the room. I was left to try to find it alone. I tried to find a telephone number for reception, but couldn't find one around the room at all. After guessing what that number might be, I got through, which was good because most of the time they don't answer it. The lady helped me then to a room which was near to a lift after I'd got physically exhausted.
The room was a good size with a nice ensuite bathroom , although the shower is a squeeze and there's nowhere to put anything down in there such as toiletries. There is a square thing with a tiny amount of soap in, shower plus basin. Don't bother, as the soap won't come out. The sea view was nice, but expensive. The hotel is a little bit tired in places. My room was clean and nice, but outside floorboards creaked like a ghost story. The restaurant food wasn't too bad, although self service breakfasts can be a bit difficult for disabled guests. No fried or poached eggs were on offer, just scrambled. Nice fresh bread on offer. Soups taste like they make their own. Potato and Leek was very nice.
The front doors are very difficult by the disabled ramp, as they usually lock one of the doors with inaccessible bolts. This makes the entrance too narrow. Also, there are no disabled toilets.

I did not even stay here I booked, I was unfortunately unable to attend booking and had called up to cancel booking.
The hotel had still charged my card absolute scam do not book here.!!! Took £117 from my account I did not even stay.
Had the cheek to say we emailed you a cancellation policy!! I’m absolutely devastated

This is a wonderful hotel in which to spend a mini break. They staff are friendly and welcoming, professional yet happy to assist in any way. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The restaurant serves delicious food for a relaxing evening meal and a sumptuous choice of breakfasts. Beautiful location. They have a small lift so be sure to ask for a first floor room near the lift if you are traveling with people who struggle with stairs. We will happily return again next year.

stayed at this hotel in July 2023 absolutely disgusted food smaller then childs portion and alternative was just disgusting and revolting a real shame on the staff serving us as they tried to help but to no avail the on good side was entertainment was o.k.overall this hotel needs a complete revamp and the senior staff needs a kick up the back side highly not recommend to any one.

The hotel has been boldly decorated.The public rooms are particularly impressive

Unfortunately although we had booked a spa break this had not been passed on to the spa by reception and although they accommodated us we were wrongly told that we would have to pay separately for the spa treatments
Although it was eventually sorted out they didn’t respond to my email or call me back as promised
Such a shame that the reception team let us down and caused us unnecessary anxiety

I heard the place had improved after its recent change of ownership from MacDonalds ownership and that is the case . It is now very clean and very smart . Always was in a nice position but it now is it seems also well managed . My small white dog liked it too .

Nice hotel with lovely staff and a good breakfast, perfect for our short couples stay.

Stayed at the hotel on Monday 5th October and was absolutely disgusted at the complete lack of cleanliness of our bathroom. The rubber seal at the bottom of the shower screen was dark brown and filled with gunge. The flush for the toilet was broken with a piece missing and the handle for closing the plug in the bath was also broken, but the seal on the shower was the worst thing I have ever seen. The dirt on this seal must have taken months to build up to get into this state. When I pointed out the photographs I had taken to the General Manager, he gave us our breakfast for free and said he hadn’t been in that particular room for a while. Firstly, I didn’t want a free breakfast. I wanted a clean room, which in the midst of these Co-vid times is a must for every establishment. I am almost sure a Health and Safety person would think about closing this down just on our shower alone. I would have enclosed pictures had there been the chance to do so.
