Martinkeaveney Reviews

I did a six week introduction to creative writing course on line. The classes were very well structured and all participants received equal attention. Our instructor was very approachable and took a genuine interest in each participant giving fair and encouraging feedback.

I’m delighted I decided to do this course ,I was very anxious before I began it as I have no experience in creative writing ,but from the very first class I felt comfortable and my confidence grew as the weeks went on .Thank you for a wonderful experience

As a new aspiring author who finally decided to go for my dream, going on some good courses where I could get foundation, connect with likeminded people, get feedback, practice etc., it was extremely important to me. And this course didn't disappoint. Peter as a teacher was absolutely brilliant, and made the learning process interesting and fun. His feedback is always very useful and encouraging. The other students all seemed to take the craft seriously and it was lovely hearing/reading their work and connect with them as well. I'm sure I'll continue with the next level of courses, and looking forward to that.

I can highly recommend this course. I am at present attending the one in Navan and find the course and our tutor Luke are fantastic both in content and delivery.

This creative writing couse is a must for anyone who has an interest in creative writing, whether you are just starting out on your path or have been doing some writing already. The tutor is excellent and provides feedback after each assignment, which is encouraging and supportive. I really enjoyed the variety of genres that were covered and it pushes you out of your comfort zone. The class kept in contact via whattsapp and there was great camaraderie. I would highly reccommend this course as an investment in the future of a new writer.

Fantastic course and excellent mentor. I would highly recommend to anyone considering creative writing.

The clear guidance of all aspects of writing and of producing your writing to professional standards

Great course . Great tutor.

Very stimulating, inclusive and productive structure to a poetry workshop course.

Very professional. Solved any questions we had quickly and professionally. Were able to deliver a plan and stick to it for the progress of our initial workshops right through to the final book arriving on our desks. No problem was too much and we felt in safe and secure hands all the way. A fantastic service and we are so proud of our achievement thanks to Martin and this team.

Martin gives a reliable and personable writing service and has fantastic writing tutors on his team. Highly recommend!

Martin’s tutorials have been informative and interesting and his choice of authors to read has been inspiring and well thought out.

Martin is experienced, reliable, and has great insight. I've done both a small conference with him in Paris and a one on one mentorship online. Both were very good and I found the single project mentorship for my novel especially helpful. Martin knows his stuff and his guidance has helped me to stay motivated and on task, while his feedback is preparing me to face my second draft with confidence.

As an introduction to the world of creative writing the course is very informative. Martin has an engaging style, very conversational, open. This generates a degree of comfort in the participants (certainly my case). I learnt much, enjoyed the experience,

Tomorrow will be the last class of the Introduction to Writing class [via ZOOM] and I have truly loved this course (and hope at some point, when funds afford, to go on the Intermediate Writing course).

Each week covers one technical aspect of writing (including how to sell yourself, read submit your literary profferings; getting published; getting commissioned (for script writing); and the necessary tools to take a person from amature to professional) and a single genre explored. The second half of the class consists of reading out of homework and class feedback.

Martin Keaveney is a affable man, thus facilitator, teacher, tutor, never lecturer (nobody is here to be lectured at, I'm certainly not!) and gives technical [polite, and encouraging] feedback and constructive criticism (unlike others who are critical due to personal preferences).

I would highly recommend [the appropriate for you] Martin Keaveney writing course (and I swear that I'm not on commission).
☀️🧡

Martin's course is great for beginners and those looking to dip their toes back into writing. Couldn't recommend it more!

Relaxed atmosphere.Very informative. A great learning experience. Martin is an Excellent tutor.

Loved this course. Always wanted to try writing but thought that I'd neither the talent nor the imagination. This course provided the support and practical information that demystified the whole process . I've found a love for writing that has taken me by surprise.

Well managed, helpful weekly reviews. Encouraging.

Enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere.

So professionally run. Supportive. Knowledgeable. Enjoyable.
