Master Organic Chemistry LLC Reviews 

I had a subscription to Master Organic Chemistry for two years, and I can confidently say that this website has been one of the most valuable resources throughout my chemistry education. It helped me tremendously during my full year of Organic Chemistry and later in my Advanced Organic Chemistry course at UC Irvine.

What I appreciate most is how thoroughly James explains reaction mechanisms and the reasoning behind them. The mechanisms covered on his website were incredibly helpful when preparing for my advanced organic chemistry synthesis final, covering essentially everything I needed to review. His blog posts are extremely detailed, well-organized, and written in a way that makes even the most complicated concepts much easier to understand.

I also worked as an Organic Chemistry tutor for a year and a half, and I found myself coming back to this website not only to strengthen my own understanding but also to find better ways to explain difficult concepts to the students I was tutoring. That alone speaks to how valuable this resource is for both students and educators. James has a remarkable ability to simplify challenging material without sacrificing the scientific depth needed to truly understand organic chemistry.

This site has always been a trusted source for me. The descriptions of mechanisms, reagents and the topic overviews have filled my OC gaps so many times. A must for any chemistry student for sure!

Was THE crucial piece of my success in Orgo 1 and 2. James makes the content palatable and interesting and presents it in a highly comprehendible manner. I was very fortuante to have found this resource when I did.

Super helpful stuff. Extremely valuable study materials for both orgo 1 and 2. Easily digestible format. I loved the practice quizzes and flashcards.

Exceptionally clear notes, all condensed in one place. Plenty of practice and ample descriptions for each topic. It is clear James from MOC truly cares about the subject and helping people learn.

Great place to learn, helps put a lot of things into different perspectives that really helped me remember what I was trying to learn. Has pretty much everything you need to know for, the very least, intro organic chemistry. I would assume, given the shear amount of information I did not need for my orgo 1 class, that he’s website goes way beyond that.

If you are struggling or doing well in Organic Chemistry, this is the tool for you! It was so helpful when it came to understanding concepts and the study guides were amazing for a quick review!

This entire site was so helpful and explained things in ways that made things make much more sense. I think I was a little overwhelmed at first (especially as an Organic Chemistry 1 student) with all the content because it all looked so foreign to me, but this site was hugely useful during Organic Chemistry 2. I ended up getting a 4.0 in both classes!

Very helpful course. I really appreciated the details and overexplaining. However, the excersises were way easier than the ones I have as a university student.

MOC is extremely informative and so so helpful for many subjects, not just ochem — I’ve gone back for reference during biochem and physics too! The thorough explanations completely saved me during ochem 1 & 2.

I was recommended to use this website and I am so glad I listened, so many practice problems and guides that help with practicing organic chem!

I used my MOC membership for both Orgo 1 and 2 and it was such a huge help. James has created so many great resources, guides, quizzes and flashcards. I would not have passed Orgo without this!

The site was easy to navigate and provided me with problems and methods to help with O Chem I and II.

I used a combination of this site and another, “Leah4sci”, to get through O chem. I appreciate both of them, recommend both, but this one had really great practice problems where I could see not just the answer but see the steps I was missing when i got something wrong. I had struggled to find that elsewhere and am really grateful I got to get support and practice here.

His work and guides helped me and all my friends get an A in Ochem. Very good practice sets and notes.

This site helped me a ton when I was taking organic chemistry classes and preparing for the ACS.

Great breakdown of all relevant topics. Good structure and understandable. Quizzes and exercises are very useful to retain the knowledge and I believe the price is very fair considering the effort that was put into this.
