ANTHONY at MAVIS BORDENTOWN CITY was clear and concise in providing the information needed to make a decision.
The initial request was to repair a flat tire on a used car for which there was only 6 months actual experience. In addition to identifying the need to replace the tire, Anthony and his crew identified eminent brake problems that could have been dangerous.
It also seems that the cost and time doing repairs at Mavis is greatly less expensive than using the dealership.

We have been dealing with Mavis, Bordentown NJ for over 30 years, they tracked the repairs of each car we owned. They are customer friendly from our initial call until the completion of our repairs. The quality of their tires is competitive at an affordable price. They provided honest and useful advice. We needed 2 new tires, they advised us which tires were good, switch the tires around for the best results, and added stems all at a discounted price. A big shout out to the manager and mechanic, thank you for your service.
The whole team makes an effort to get to know their client. The store is clean & neat. Dustin the new manager is very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. Manny is my favorite & most trusted tech for both my vehicles.
Service I received and the start time the job began
My appt was set for 8 AM. The team was ready when I arrived, and I was home before 9 AM. This was needed because I had a very tight schedule that day.

Went there for 2 new tires in back, while in bay 10 minutes they called me in to show me the i beleive its called lug on my tire broke off whle there guy was takeing tire off?? told me i might have to buy all 4??? i i should pay??? i asked him how something like this could happen, his exact reply to me was, whoever touched your tires last didnt put it back on right???? i informed him it was this place that did my last 2 oil changes andROTATION OF TIRES, HE THEN JUST LOOKED AT ME AND WALKED AWAY said they put a lug on it??? there is nothing in front of the lug to hold it on??? thats not how i gave them the car. i called their reginal manager, that was a joke. he never even called me back said he would. i also told him, i told guy if i needed an alligment, he told me the machine would tell them if i need one, to give it to me. well i watched him he did a wheel aligment if exactly i beleive was 9-10 minutes???? unherd of, obviously it did not need one,. when i told the so called reginal manager about this his reply was, oh ive had plenty of 10 minute alligments??? lol i knew right there that was a waste of time calling them. bottom line they broke something, blamed it on someone who handled the car before but they broke it????? did not fix it, even asked me you want to just leave it alone with the 3 lugs on it?????? worst rip offs i have eve gone to in my life and im an old lady and have been around. they are really bad. i can only speak for myself what i went threw with them, in the hands of bbb, if that dont work, going to take them to small claims court, they will not get away with it.

I had my sons car done on Friday and back today with my car. Jim got me out in an hours time as promised. I was able to have the rest of the day for myself.
Got my rear left tire replaced by the shop after I got a nail stuck in the sidewall, about 19 days ago, the service was good and fast and well everything seemed fine when I left the shop. Few days later I started noticing the PSI on that same tire was not jiving with the others chalked it up to unbalanced as I only got the one (not my car and owner just wanted to get the one). A week goes by as the car seats parked and when I get to move it I see that I have lost a lot of the air not fully flat. Anyhow, long story short after having AAA come, they found another nail in the same rear left tire Bordentown Mavis had replaced. Now, not a mathematician but I know enough to know that probability of getting nails in same tires within a 19 day window is nearly impossible (probably will play lotto this weekend just to see if my luck turns the other way). I reached out the Mavis and spoke to Assistant Manager Tim who was polite but unhelpful. He said that as I have declined the roadside hazard warranty extension and repair or replacement of the tire would come out of my pocket. I was willing to meet them in the middle and pickup service with them providing a new tire but Tim was not having it and said it was not their fault. Grant him that but again I go back to probability and well maybe something more nefarious might be going on here. If the manager reads this and feels that something can be done Tim has my number. PS....Post my review I was contacted by Christ the manager who was very helpful and we came to a satisfactory resolution. Many thanks to Chris and rest of the Bordentown Mavis team.

Pleasant, courteous staff, and, I believe, honest!
Great service! Came in for an alignment thinking it was causing a vibration. Found out the control arms had cracked bushings, missed by a recent service at the Honda dealership! The Mavis staff not only found the problem and fixed it, but gave me a great price for the whole job, all without any pressure to get the work done. Very upfront and honest about what could minimally be done and what should be done. In the long run, it was more cost-effective to do it all at once. Car feels like new again! Thanks to all there.
