The management was great. The technician Jan was quick and professional. They got me in and out no time flat. Great job

I always use this Mavis Tire Shop for the great customer service, easy in-and-out, always have the tires I may need, and attention to detail. The manager John takes good care of my needs, is very friendly. We usually have a nice, casual conversation when he is not waiting on other customers.

Mgr very rude to my wife….said he doesn’t have to service anyone they don’t want to….went down the street to buy tires…don’t know what they teach in mgmt, but go else where…don’t waist your money

WORD OF CAUTION! DO NOT USE ***ANY MAVIS LOCATIONS *** FOR ANYTHING. EVEN TIRES! CORPORATE DOESN'T CARE, AND REGIONAL GUY HAS NO AUTHORITY TO FIX ANYTHING.

Spent almost $2,200 at one of their Athens locations in May 2024. Brought the car in because of misfire and rough idle. Part of the work was to replace spark plugs to fix the rough idle. After plugs were replaced, they still didn’t fix the rough idle (the original concern). They managed to find many issues with other items that added up to just under $2,200. Right after leaving the shop the car was still rough idling and showing the same symptoms. Was told they are at their limit as far as their diagnostic ability. After taking the car to another shop, the second shop found that when Mavis changed the plugs, their “technician” failed to re-plug one of the wires back in, causing the car to run on 3 cylinders. After paying for the second shop to fix Mavis’s poor quality work, the store manager at the time, Chris, got approval from corporate to refund me what the other shop charged. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, the car started to mis-fire, rough idle, and hesitate at low RPMs. Decided to take the car straight to the second shop. No surprise, they found the plugs that Mavis had replaced are all fouling out, causing all the symptoms to return. Upon replacing the plugs AGAIN, the car runs just fine and the check engine light hasn’t returned. Mind you, the check engine light never stayed off after my $2,200 visit to Mavis. BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE MAVIS!

Very nice lady tells me that her “supervisor” is reviewing my complaint and would “get back to me shortly”. As of today, 12-02-2024, TEN DAYS after my last call to them, I have yet to hear back from anyone at Mavis. So their boilerplate response on all the review sites really mean nothing, it’s just their way of smoothing things over on the surface, hoping people would just go away. Thanks for nothing!

I was extremely pleased with the service I received today at Mavis Tires on Jordan Drive in Athens. I experienced some brake problems with my 2010 Honda Civics. Chris diagnosed the issue, took my car for a test drive, and explained my options. There was no charge for the diagnosis. Chris, the technician, and Lynn, the manager, were extremely professional.

I needed a flat to be fixed. I arrived BEFORE THEY WERE ACTUALLY OPEN and it was a Sunday... they took my car back almost right away. The ladies in the front were so very friendly! The waiting area was very clean and comfy! Thank you Mavis! I will definitely be seeing y'all again!
