If I could give zero stars, I would.

In March 2025, I brought my 2016 Lincoln to Mavis in Saugus for what should have been a simple tire pressure sensor replacement. Instead, it turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal.

Before that visit, my car had no electrical issues and passed inspection without a problem. After Mavis worked on it, it failed state inspection and required $1,463 in repairs to fix what they broke.

Here’s what happened:

Mavis installed the wrong (non-OEM) sensors

A technician improperly accessed my car’s system, wiping key modules

My car developed new electrical issues, including TPMS failure and erratic interior lighting

I brought the car back three times in one weekend with no resolution

On my third visit, I spoke directly with the manager, Gino, who assured me it would be escalated. I followed up multiple times via voicemail, text, and email—and received no response.

I finally had to take the car to McGovern Ford, where certified technicians:

Confirmed the wrong sensors had been used

Diagnosed a non-responsive Remote Tire Module

Repaired and reprogrammed everything with OEM parts

Got the car roadworthy again

I’m now pursuing a formal complaint under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 93A, and I’ve notified the Attorney General’s Office.

This wasn’t just poor service—it was negligence, followed by a complete lack of accountability.

I gave Mavis every opportunity to make it right. They didn’t. I can’t recommend this location to anyone.

Brought my car in for four wheel tire balance and rotation. scheduled appointment, arrived and was checked in, car serviced and given back to me within 30 minutes. excellent job!

Mavis's Manager Jimmy was very helpful with fixing conflicted schedule for the 4 tires i bought from Tirebuyer . com . I had very bad experience with NTB but Jimmy is emotionally intelligent who understands customer situation effectively and promptly resolved.

Arrived at my 11:30 appointment at 11:25. Waited until after 12:00 for anyone to show up in the front of the store. The two people waiting in front of me were there even longer. One went because he was told on the phone they had a tire. When he got to the front of the line, they told him they weren't sure they had it and would not be able to tell him for another 90 minutes. The other was there to have botched service by them fixed. last, I was told it would be at least a two hour wait.
