She also was of great help once arriving to Istanbul, during the surgery, and with post op care. Why I Chose Med Art Hair:
I did extensive research and spoke to multiple clinics before making a decision. Most were doing 20–25 patients per day, and that didn’t sit right with me. Med Art Hair stood out because they limit themselves to just 2 procedures per day, ensuring individualized attention and quality outcomes.

The Procedure:
On the day of the surgery, I spent over 30 minutes consulting with Dr. Sumer, who was highly involved. We discussed my hairline in-depth — not just how it would look now, but how it should age with me over the years. His expertise gave me full confidence in the design we agreed on.

The surgery team was amazing. Tugba, who handled the extraction, had over 8 years of experience, and I could instantly feel her skill. She was quick, focused, and clearly knew exactly what she was doing. Two additional team members assisted her during extraction.

After a lunch break, Dr. Sumer made all the incisions using a sapphire blade, carefully controlling the angles for optimal growth and natural appearance. Then the team used Choi pen implantation for precision placement.

Total grafts: 4300 (I was originally quoted 3800, but they gave me more without charging extra — that says a lot about their ethics).

Procedure length: ~8.5 hours.

Areas covered: Frontal hairline and crown.

Post-Op & Recovery:
After the surgery, I was dropped back at the hotel with a neck pillow, bandages, and clear sleep instructions. I had virtually no pain afterwards — the only discomfort was during the lidocaine injections at the start, which I expected. Other than that, the healing process was smooth.

The next morning, I was brought in for bandage removal and my first wash. While they say you only need 3 nights, I booked 6 nights total so I could explore Istanbul and get extra washes — which they happily accommodated.

They also provided a custom aftercare package tailored to my needs — including anti hair loss shampoo, serums, pantethenol foam, and multivitamins.

The included hotel was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing breakfast — honestly one of my favorite parts of the mornings during recovery!

Ongoing Support:
Even now, 14 days post-op, I’m in daily contact with Rose, who has been a rock throughout this process. She answered every question pre-surgery, stayed with me during the operation, checked in constantly, and is still following my progress. I send her photos every few days and she always responds with advice and encouragement. She’s not just a coordinator — she genuinely cares.

Final Verdict:
Would I do it again? Absolutely.

Coming all the way from California, traveling to another country for a medical procedure was honestly scary. Thankfully, Medart made everything so smooth. From the start, I communicated with Bilal, who was responsive and helpful throughout the process. We flew to Istanbul in May 2025, and on the morning of the procedure, we were picked up directly from our hotel.
The clinic was spotless, and every staff member was polite and professional. We first paid the remaining balance in cash, then I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Sumer—and let me tell you, he is the BEST! He took his time carefully drawing my hairline, explaining the plan, the number of grafts, and the technique he would use. His precision, calm demeanor, and expertise immediately reassured me. He’s truly a master of his craft.
What made this even more incredible is that I have diffuse hair loss. But Dr. Sumer took the time to understand my case and gave me hope. The clinic only sees 1–2 patients a day, and on my procedure day, I was the only one, which made me feel completely taken care of.
After the transplant, Rose gave detailed post-op instructions. A neck pillow was provided, and we returned to the hotel to rest. Two days later, we came back for the first wash, just before flying back to Los Angeles. Even now, Rose continues to answer all my questions patiently, and I’m so thankful for her support.

The surgeon and the personnel were very kind and understanding, making the experience much more enjoyable. The surgeon also helped design a hairline which fit the most with my preferences, which is great! Although the surgery was very painful, once the anaesthesia wore off, I’m very glad I had undergone it! If I left out the pain, I would definitely rate my experience a full 10/10!

I had my hair transplant 1 week ago with Medart. Overall it was a very good experience. The team, the doctor, and everyone were very professional and friendly. They made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and procedure. The team explained the procedure to me well, communicated to me throughout the procedure, and made sure I was doing okay the entire time. The transportation process was very easy as well. Although I don’t have final results, I was very pleased and treated very well at Medart.

My experience with Medart was excellent. I am 61 yrs old male and my hair transplant fascination journey started when I started to lose my hair 10 yrs ago.

I used finesteride and minoxidil like everyone else but I knew it was not a long term solution for me. I knew I needed a hair transplant.

So few years ago I started to consider choosing the right hair clinic to have my procedure at. I managed to narrow it down to 4 clinics in Istanbul and I decide to choose Medart.

The reason I chose Medart is because of their honest marketing, online feedback and people's positive comments.

Medart certainly was not the dearest nor the cheapest clinic but I believed they offered good value proposition for my budget.

I Knew the procedure was not going to be done entirely by the doctor and I was ok with this.

Rose from Medart was great. She was my WhatsApp contact and was extremely helpful and always kept in touch with me and answered all my questions . Fantastic PR person.

Few days before the procedure my wife and I got picked from the airport and were taken to a wonderful 5 star hotel. We decided to visit Istanbul and do a bit of site seeing before the procedure.

On the day of the procedure we were picked up from the hotel and taken to the clinic which was literally around the corner from the hotel. We met Rose and the team . I was impressed with the cleanliness of the clinic and the team friendly manner.

I had 4600 graft implanted and the entire procedure took approximately 8.5 hrs. I have to admit the administration of the anaesthetic was extremely painfully but luckily it only lasted for about 4-5 minutes( thank god).

9 months after my hair transplant, I am extremely happy with my new head of hair. Although it hasn’t been without few issues along the way. Unfortunately, I suffered from folliculitis for a while but thankfully it went away with antibiotic cream. Thanks to the ongoing communication with Rose.

My only criticism is for the technicians while performing the implanting procedure is to tone down their constant giggles and chatter while implanting the grafts. I have to say it was annoying and a bit disrespectful.

In conclusion I definitely would recommend Medart clinic for anyone who is considering having a hair transplant.

Really good service and treated well from start to finish. It’s now been 5 months and my hair line has been restored and that is only 40 percent of final result. Sarah and the team looked after me really well and highly recommend MedArt. The procedure itself took about 6 hours for 3100 grafts. It took about 3 to 4 months ( totally normal) for results to come through then it all. Urst into life and going from strength to strength . I also made friends with others who had operation at same time and they also happy with results. It was daunting at first and I did wonder whether it was all worth it (sleeping upright for 10

I had my hair transplant done at MedArt Clinic back in October 2024 in Turkey and now 8 months later, I can confidently say it was a great decision!

From the moment I arrived at the clinic, the experience was seamless. The clinic was clean and it was clear that patient care was their top priority. Every person I interacted with from the medical staff to the support staff was kind, professional, and truly dedicated to helping me feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. A special thank you goes to Rose, the clinic’s translator, who was with me every step of the way. She has also followed up every month without fail, answered all my questions, and offered constant reassurance, guidance and most importantly encouragement. Her attentiveness and kindness made the experience even more personal.

My procedure was done using the Sapphire FUE method with 4,600 grafts extracted from the donor areas at the sides and back of my head. If there is anyone struggling to choose a method, pick the doctor, not the method. Whatever your doctor is best at will be best for you. Dr. Ahmet was exceptional. He talked me through the entire process and has continued to follow up with me monthly. His skill, precision, and genuine sincerity made me feel completely confident and safe throughout. He is a true artist at what he does. The assistants were also fantastic -- attentive, and supportive from start to finish.

From pre-op to post-op, the team at MedArt made it extremely easy and comfortable. They showed me how to take care of my head and helped me prep for the future once I left Turkey. Now at the 8-month mark, my donor areas have filled in and the transplanted areas are full and strong. I’ve had zero complications, no injuries or health issues, only progress. I plan to come back to MedArt in the future to get another round as well!

I stayed at the Melas Hotel, a 5-star hotel which was included in the package I chose. It was clean and comfortable for my family and I — a perfect place to relax and recover after the procedure.
