From the moment I was picked up at the airport, MedAway and the team provided a professional service that ensure I was comfortable, informed, and looked after from start to finish. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to undertake a hair transplant.

The lack of English speaking made it difficult to communicate. The driver who picked us up from the airport could not communicate in English, the hotel booked did not have dinner hence after surgery you still have to sought your own dinner either order or go out. Also lack of taking safety precautions, after surgery no vital signs was done to ensure it was safe to discharge, and no follow up at the hotel to ensure you were doing ok until the final day of your departure. Surgeon was okay he explained the whole process and considered safety before the surgery.

My experience with MedAway was really good, since the beginning till the end. They are so friendly and I love how helpful they are. Also if I need anything I was just texting them through WhatsApp and they reply so fast. In general their service was very good, the nurses check on you very quickly often and they are so friendly. It was really great experience for me. Thank you MedAway, especially Gylsym, she was amazing and super helpful and friendly.

After six return visits for dental corrections, money disappearing from my room while I was in surgery, being discharged without proper dressings, leaking blood and fluid in a taxi, receiving no nursing review for two days, and repeatedly having to chase assistance myself, I have completely lost confidence in Medaway.

Since writing this review, my dental treatment has deteriorated even further. I am now back in Turkey paying a different dental provider because my restorations have cracked again. During my assessment, two independent dental companies separately commented that my teeth appear to be temporary restorations rather than the final zirconia treatment I believed I had paid for. I cannot verify the materials used, but hearing the same concern from two unrelated providers has only reinforced my lack of confidence.

I also believe prospective patients should know that, despite references to “Medaway UK”, there is no physical Medaway office in the UK. My dealings have been with remote representatives rather than a UK clinic or office.

I would not recommend this company to friends, family or anyone considering travelling abroad for treatment. After everything that has happened, I never want to deal with Medaway again.

All was good, treatment, hotel and transfers, would use again if needed, hospital was imaculate and clean, operation was very profecinal

We have gone through MedAway now for about 5 years, they have been nothing but great for us. Love the fact they keep in contact when back home too so not to fend for yourself. Any problems they are just a WhatsApp away. This time we had the lovely Gülsüm to help if we had any problems ie language barrier. Will definitely be using MedAway again in the future.

I was really nervous at first but My experience was amazing, I am so happy with how it all went, my surgeon dr taygun oluklu done my surgery & he done an amazing job, I had breast augmentation, the staff at the hospital was all polite and really nice and had quite a few English translators, the nurses I used translate on my phone and I spoke to there phone for them to understand what I was asking and they was all So lovely! Our hotel is really nice and clean and up to date, the food here is really nice, I couldn't have wished for a better experience!

DR TAYGUN OKHULU This company is an absolute disgrace please please do not go here. I’ve been left severely disfigured after being sent home with a necrotic nipple after breast lift and implant. I’ve asked for a refund with no reply. They don’t care. I have life changing injuries due to the surgeon taking away too much of my natural tissue and damaging the blood supply to the nipple. STAY WELL AWAY! you’re playing Russian roulette with your life. Aftercare was terrible. They just take your money.

The process from start to finish was amazing. Cant fault the service at all. Very happy with the result too. Would definitely recommend

An exceptional experience from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend Medaway more highly!
From the moment I booked, my coordinator went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfectly organised before I even set foot in Istanbul. All communication through WhatsApp was prompt, clear and reassuring. I always knew exactly what to expect and felt completely prepared for my journey.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a private transfer straight to the clinic and then to my hotel, which made the whole process feel seamless and stress-free. What truly stood out was that throughout my entire stay, I was never left on my own. There was always someone by my side, ready to answer questions, offer support, or simply keep me company. For someone travelling alone, that personal care meant everything.
My coordinator handled all the paperwork and logistics with incredible professionalism, taking every little detail off my plate so I could focus entirely on my recovery. I never once had to worry about a thing.
And my surgeon… what can I say? The results are absolutely beautiful. The skill and care put into the procedure exceeded all my expectations, and I am beyond grateful.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE — AVOID MEDAWAY

Before flying out, I was told I’d have to stay overnight BEFORE the surgery — something that made no sense to me but they insisted. Then when I actually arrived, that plan went completely out the window. Suddenly they decided to do everything same-day and were completely disorganised, not even knowing what sedation I was meant to have.

Then, right before the procedure, I was told I now “needed a second surgery” to get good results — something they clearly knew in advance but never mentioned. The price was suddenly increased and I was pressured to decide on the spot while scrambling to transfer money and double-check information on this second surgery. I was warned that if I didn’t agree immediately, they would delay.

After the operation, things only got worse. One nurse handled me so roughly on the surgical area that it caused severe pain — I later realised how unacceptable that was and made a complaint the next day. The other nurses weren’t any better. They refused to help when I was bleeding heavily — I had to sleep in a bed of blood no matter how many times I asked for help. I was in severe pain, with no one around to provide pain relief straight after, and even when staff did appear, they couldn’t communicate properly in English, which made everything even more frightening.

I later found out they often run “sales” or drop the price if you say no at first. The private transfer is a shared shuttle.

The surgeon herself was kind, but everything else — from the planning to the aftercare — was chaotic, misleading, and deeply distressing.

NOT TO MENTION CROSS CONTAMINATION - watching the nurses work, I was very concerned that cross contamination could and does go on in this hospitals - this is the "you get what you pay for" part but I would be very concerned and if you're thinking about coming here please understand even if the surgeon is okay, they can still harm you in other ways

It is now May 2026. I have been waiting for a refund of £1350 since December 2024 for laser eye surgery that NEVER took place. That is 17 months of them holding MY money for a procedure I did not receive.

At every single level of management, this company is full of grifters. They have blocked me on all channels. Every representative ignores my emails, calls, and messages.

Why are you holding onto my money? You provided no service. It is theft.

Type in "refund" on Trustpilot right now. You will see the same story over and over again. I am just one of many.

Do not walk away. RUN. If you value your money, go elsewhere. These people will steal from you and then block you when you ask for what is yours.

Shame on every single manager here. You know who you are.

The people are lovely and very attentive. If there has been any questions they have been answered straight away. Any minor problems have been sorted out very quickly. The team is always available via WhatsApp text. The organisation has been seamless. Thank you!

I was really nervous about having surgery abroad, but the Medaway team really were great.
Everything was organised really well and ran smoothly, transfers were on time, my surgery was booked for the morning of my arrival and ran on time. I was looked after really well by the nurses, bringing me ice, meals, drinks etc. Constantly making sure I was ok.
The Medaway support was great , any questions I had I could go to them. If you are considering surgery in Turkey, do it. It’s the best thing I have ever done.
