I travelled from NZ to get the Gastric Sleeve Operation. Eren sorted us from the moment we landed at the Istanbul Airport until our departure back to New Zealand - this included shuttles (to and from all locations), hotels, hospital bookings.

I booked three weeks out from leaving.

We arrive, stayed one night in a hotel (Monday), checked out and went to the hospital where we stayed for two nights (Tuesday and Wednesday) and discharged on the third (Thursday). We stayed one more night in a hotel (Thursday) before flying back to New Zealand that evening on Friday.

There was a bit of distance (45min minimum) driving between each location.

From checking out of the hotel on Monday through to being discharged from the hospital, we had a translator with us for a few hours each day, and always had open communication with Eren (who's English is amazing).

On arrival to the hospital (around 7am) we did all of our testing (bloods, X-rays, meeting with nutritionist and anaesthetist) with Azra (assistant, and also has really good English and good wairua) which took no longer than 45 minutes total. It was a bit of a wait to get into our rooms but no biggie for me.

Surgery was on Tuesday, about 4pm, and went well. I wasn't in too much pain afterwards and was able to get up and walk around once nurses gave the go ahead.

Coming from New Zealand, not getting vitals done after the surgery was different. Most nurses were great but know very little English.

The hospital was clean and felt good. Europark Otel was great -clean, spacious and had high pressure water in the shower.

I took a companion. They provided kai for them at the hospital and there was a couch for them to sleep on. Buffet breakfast was also included in hotel stays which my companion could enjoy.

Overall, good experience for me and am feeling good 7-days post-op.

From the time I found out about Medin Globe and made contact about getting a gastric sleeve, I have received the most considerate and patient support. Eren really was patient with me and took the time to engage and address all my questions and concerns. God knows I had a million questions 😁. I even received guidance on my visa application process which was smooth.
Arriving in Istanbul, I was transported to the hospital where I was received by another great human being Azra. She walked through the entire pre-test process with myself and the 4 other ladies who were there for the same purpose and ensured we had our rooms and were prepped for surgery.
The hospital stay was great - beautiful rooms and great service.
The post- op support has also been wonderful. Meds, diet and post care have been provided and guidance given. For a person who came here alone, I most certainly do not feel like I am alone because I have had amazing support.
I’m currently at the hotel getting ready to go back home tomorrow and It would be amiss of me to not say that Medin globe was without a doubt the best choice for me and will definitely be your best partner in your bariatric journey!

Absolutely loved every bit of my experience. I’m from Tauranga New Zealand, from meeting up with Eren over WhatsApp, to organising our pickup from the airport to the hospital and then to our hotel, everything was seamless. Honestly, having Azra there to translate for you makes everything so much easier and more relaxing. If you want to feel safe, supported, and appreciated, this is the best service to have as part of your journey.

My experience with Erin, Azra and Medinglobe was amazing. I came for the Gastric Sleeve in July 2026 and returned with my friend Sera to assist her on her Journey. From my experience last year to now the service has been extremely positive. Improvements made. Customer Service has been excellent. 10/10

So recently I visited Turkey and Medinglobe to have some work done. I have contacted lovely Eren through Facebook and he provided me with all the information I needed including the cost and the whole process. After few months I got greeted by him personally and he really took care of me through the whole process. In the hospital I've met the plastic surgeon who was always smiling and very knowledgeable. He understood exactly what I wanted, it was almost as if he was reading my mind. Then I have the surgery. I wasn't stressing because I knew I was being taken care of. Everything went fine and it was time to recover. And again lovely Eren and his team has been there every step of the way, spending time with me and making sure I'm well taken care of. When I was well enough I got transferred to a lovely hotel near by where I've spent few more days. I honestly can not speak highly enough when I think about the experience. Everything went well, exactly how it supposed to, it was well priced, I was very well taken care of and I could not be happier with the results. Thank you so very much. I'm for ever grateful
