I've been using Medly for over a year now and have found it to be useful in my A-levels, it has increased my confidence in all spec points and in knowing content. The recent updates have significantly improved my experience as well. I particularly like the feature of making personalised tests so you can select the topics you need to revise for unit tests, mocks, etc. I think exam style questions sometimes are different from what would come up for my exam boards but it's not been a complete issue for me. The team has listened well to student feedback and that's shown in the new features and updates.

I was trying to find a website that can help me with school and I came across Medly. I've been using Medly for some time now and it is very useful for practicing exam technique and active recall. Medly stands out because it allows me to pick my exam board and subjects which means its adapted to my education and it also has a ai tutor on the side which helps me understand complicated topics. i would recommend it.

Really good just very expensive

It's nice, but there are notable differences between Medly and the official exam board specification for multiple subjects with varying exam boards.

It's a really great app, and definitely cheaper than tuition so if you are struggling to find good tuition, definitely check it out. Everything is broken down and explained easily, ensuring you don't need to make notes AT ALL and can go straight to answering. My only criticism is somethings don't follow the mark scheme but everything else is great!

Medly is a really effective revision source for people looking to practice exam style questions and see exactly where they loose marks and how they can acquire those top grade answers. I’m in year 13 doing a level physics, biology and psychology and I use medley in different ways for each. I find the exam questions the most effective for biology as mark schemes are so specific and it shows the breakdown of what I should include and the best way of wording it - I find the textbook is a little too vague but is still effective if you just need a quick refresher. I struggle the most with physics and medleys learning feature with the use of the ai chatbot really helps me to understand the complex concepts of physics and answers my questions well. It is also very engaging as it asks you questions and prompts you to get the right answer as opposed to just telling you straight away. I’m not a fan of the exam questions for psychology, I feel like the marking is a lot more harsh and asks you details that aren’t particularly necessary. However, I do use the paper marking tool to mark my essays and long answer questions - it is effective at this and gives you you’re strengths and how you could improve it to secure full marks.
In conclusion, I would recommend medley for anyone doing STEM based subjects due to its very objective marking however if you do more humanity based subjects, I think there are better resources out there.

Each topic is split into subtopics, and those subtopics have a concise textbook, a learn mode for some subjects like Maths, and tons of practice questions, with an AI that can give real time feedback on your answers before you mark them. It makes revision and practice seamless. Only slight negative is that the Maths canvas needs more work.

i mean it helped quite a bit, but this isnt a full revision replacement you WILL have to still use past papers and revision cards, but still do recommend, also one, thing i dont like, is it looks like too much it stresses you out so watch out for that, but other then that great lots of updates, easy to use kinda, and the ai sometimes makes mistakes,

I’ve been using medly for about a month now. It’s been great for revising for my A levels! Really helpful with exam technique and immediate feedback that is mark scheme specific. There are also constant updates which greatly improve the features and learning experience.
My only feedback would be that, as a year 12, i feel there should be more past papers available for the AS level exams which would be helpful with revising for mocks and predicted grades. Overall it’s been really helpful so far and hopefully will continue to be next year as well!

Really good and easy to use. Fast marking and helps with questions if dont understand

The platform does help me use and apply knowledge that I have been revising, which is good.

However, the mark scheme is so specific, like with an actual exam mark scheme for GCSE, they would have about 8 possible things you could have said to get the marks for a 4 mark question, yet Medly only accepts very specific 4 points. I also struggle to understand how such open ended questions have only 2 points worth marks, and sometimes, they don’t relate to the question!

Also, the questions on there own require you to know content that is not relevant or exam board specific. For example, I got asked a question on how cardiovascular muscles are arranged in the heart, this was nowhere to be found in the aqa content books.

I also dislike the new feature where it tells you your predicted grade, i am a grade 8-9 student in biology, yet medly tells me I am a grade 4 if I miss one mark.

The website creates a fake sense of insecurity, and stresses me out when I’m not doing well on questions that are really poorly created and marked. The fact is that it promised past paper style questions specific to exam boards, and an AI tutor better than real ones, and it under performed in every single aspect.

Medly has been an amazing website for me to study, especially with ADHD it really helps me hyperfocus thanks to the simplicity and structure of it. The AI marking is very good ! And it leads me to the answer very well without giving it to me so it really helps me to remember. One suggestion that I would give that has posed a lot of trouble for me is that for specifically the IGCSE syllabus for sciences there is no option to filter out triple award content, however for GCSE there is the option for seperate. Overall medly is an amazing site for me to study, I would just really appreciate the ability to filter out triple award content and many of my friends would too. Thank you for reading this message !

Could diversify subjects but overall good

Medly has been massively useful for my History and has bumped my grade up from a predicted 6 to a 7! I know it doesn't seem like much but it was a massive milestone for me as someone who really struggles with exam skill so this was great. It offers really good constructive feedback and the exam style practice function is intuitive and easy to use.
