I ordered some Easter gifts from Melt and unfortunately, the first parcel never arrived. With Easter approaching and the box marked “Melt handmade chocolate,” we wondered if someone along the way might have helped themselves, as the delivery packaging does look tempting!

Thankfully, Melt’s customer service was outstanding. Andreea responded quickly, kindly arranged a replacement with express delivery, and made sure everything arrived just in time. The recipient was absolutely delighted.

I had a query about one of the items, and again, Andreea responded promptly and kindly explained the unique product design.

It’s rare to come across a company that treats its customers with such care, efficiency and genuine warmth. Despite the hiccup at the start, I ended up feeling incredibly valued as a customer. Thank you, Melt. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Just one small suggestion: while the outer branded packaging is beautiful, a more discreet box might help avoid any delivery mishaps in the future.

The help I received with making my booking and organising the dates and times was very pro-active and friendly. I look forward to attending the class and eating the chocolate!

We attended the chocolate making course which was bought as a gift. We felt the welcome could have been friendlier when we first arrived. The course itself was very good. Well run. Ideally the aircon could have been working as it was very warm inside the small area. Maybe 8 on the course rather than 10 squeezed into a small space. Outside didn't look very welcoming especially the nappy bag in one of the planters. A smash window happens but the signage needs cleaning, the pallet removing, the debris in the planters and maybe the planters moving completely to give more of a professional appearance when arriving. That said we enjoyed the experience and the way the tutor maintained our interest.

Holland Park House Advent Calendar

This is priced at £285 and contains 6kg of Melt chocolate in a very impressive well-made calendar. The chocolate is very good quality. However, the variety of chocolates and flavours were limited as over a third were, repetitively, salted chocolate.
I contacted Customer Services to see if there had been an error in the packaging as I would have thought that this calendar would be a
great opportunity for Melt chocolate to showcase a wider range of their products. I was told that due to short expiry dates on some of their chocolates it limited what could go into the calendar.
If salted chocolate is not your favourite flavour then this Advent Calendar at this price could be a disappointment. Part of the excitement of an Advent Calendar comes from the anticipation of discovering a different treat each day and so I hope this review helps and does not spoil any surprise element.

My Christmas present of the best selling box of mixed chocolates was a little piece of luxury and comfort in a grey world.
The orangettes are especially yummy too!
Melt chocolates Customer Care service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble.
The chocolates and the Customer Care easily deserve a 5 star rating.

Melt Christmas Crackers.
Beautiful pop art crackers sadly let down by unpleasant chocolates. We all enjoy good chocolate but these has an unpleasant texture and taste - so much so that 2 of us spat them out, chocolate remained unopened and thrown away and 2 out of 6 crackers remain unopened. Very sad, expensive mistake.

A beautiful friend bought me the Christmas Advent calendar, it has been a delightful treat every day of December, wish they'd do a new years eve count down calendar starting January 1st!
Whilst it is more than your usual 'Lindt' calendar, I thought this was worth every penny. The chocolate shapes were so sweet, with so many different ones.... Looks like you have an annual customer, with the odd treat thrown in during the year.

Have yet to try the chocolates as bought for a gift (the gorgeous Portobello Advent Calendar) but received exceptionally good service from customer service who found a prompt and practical solution to the issue I was encountering ordering online. Now I need to buy some for me!

I bought these eye wateringley expensive chocolates for my daughter during her finals at University in a “We’re thinking of you bag” with silly bits of nice rubbish but all she remembers from it are the Melt Chocolates. She said it really gave her the boost she needed. So I guess it was worth the expense after all. Who knows!

A beautiful experience with wonderful people. Truly rememberable and I loved the venue and how we embraced the sacred cacao plant.

I have been coming to Melt for years. I live on portland road parallel to the Clarendon store which has until recently been my go to shop for treats. However I recently met the most wonderful shop assistant at the Ledbury Road store. She has been exceptional in customer service. She always makes me feel welcome, she remembers my name every time I walk into the shop and makes sure each purchase is registered on the loyalty scheme something not a single member of staff has done for me in the ten years I have been shopping at Melt. I wanted to say a huge thank you to Mathilda at Ledbury Road. Without you local customers like myself would not feel valued the way we do. I encourage everyone to visit Mathilda at the Ledbury Road store and sample some of the best chocolate in london.

Great customer service response to an issue - we all know that things can go wrong sometimes but how they are handled makes a real difference to how we feel about it. I had a problem with a delivery from Melt, spoke to them (Andreea), got a sincere apology and a delivery less than 24 hours later.

Upon arrival all the staff that I met at Melt were welcoming and friendly - I was taken through the shop, which felt like a trip in to the land of Willy Wonka and out in to the secret intimate space that is the Melt Yurt. What a venue! So beautifully dressed and cosy! It felt like we were transported to another world and we were. Maddy our host and facilitator was exceptional, she is kind, warm and knowledgeable. The group of woman that I shared the experience with were delightful and the space felt very held, supported and full of love even though we were all complete strangers. I would highly recommend this experience for all occasions to cultivate more calm, peace and connection to yourself. Thank you

Firstly and most importantly Melt chocolates are delicious and this is coming from a serious chocoholic! I have been eating top quality Belgian chocolates for 30 years or more and these Melt chocolates are some of the best I have ever tasted.
Secondly, I had a minor problem with the delivery and their customer service team is extremely impressive. I will definitely be buying more of their wonderful chocolates!

The chocolate making experience at Melt was largely good*. Paul, the chocolatier who coached us to make the chocolates was really engaging, friendly, informed and helpful - he did a fantastic job. The chocolate tasting element was really good too and had a great variety of chocolate.
*Not 5 star for me because even if there's two of you making 20 chocolates, you're only making one flavour of ganache which was a bit disappointing. (I think the website could be much clearer on what the chocolates you end up with are for each experience type). Lots of variety in how you can decorate the chocolates which maybe compensates a bit. And then otherwise, the booking process was a bit of a nightmare as I've reported in a separate review, and there's other little things that could be improved like letting you know when the chocolates you've made need to be eaten by.

Excellent dark hot chocolate and interesting variety of chocolate bars.

Ordered a birthday gift with a written message (at extra charge) for a friend and apparently the chocolates are good but the card the shop sent had the most atrocious handwriting I’ve ever seen. Barely legible, misspelled, looked like a 5-year-old wrote it. Not cute for £3.50. Maybe hire someone literate to do that part?
