This company is fraudulent - go nowhere near them. The Newcastle base is a scam. They source clothes from China - hence the longer than usual delivery times. Email replies that they call 'customer service' are just AI bots. They will do anything do avoid a refund. Refunds they request are sent via Royal Mail to China at huge cost. Avoid like the plague.

Shipping took a bit longer than I first expected, but the support team replied politely when I asked for an update. Once the top arrived, I was happy with the fit and the material felt comfortable enough for regular wear.

The website was easy to browse, which made the whole order feel simple. I chose a couple of basic pieces, and everything arrived in good condition with clear updates along the way.

Exemplary customer service. I needed to return an item as it didn’t suit me & Charlotte went to great lengths to assist me in finding an alternative, including carefully checking that the correct size was ordered to avoid disappointment.

The bikini I ordered was a pleasant surprise. It felt supportive, the fabric had a good weight to it, and it looked flattering without feeling uncomfortable.

This feels like a scam company. Before ordering I looked into who they were. Claimed to be a company owned by a couple in Newcastle. Advertised 30 day returns policy. However the bikini I ordered took more than 2 weeks to arrive as it came from China. I don’t like it but to return I have to pay postage to China and if it gets lost it’s my responsibility. I would not order from this company again, very suspect.

I was mainly looking for a few easy summer pieces and the order turned out better than I expected. The tops felt light, the sizing was close to what I normally wear, and nothing looked overly flashy.

BEWARE - this is a scam company in my opinion. Website looks nice, says owners are from Newcastle and items selected from the British Coast. (Further detail on website says incorporated in Netherlands?!). I ordered swimwear costing approx £40 per item. Took ages to come because actually imported from China. Cheap quality and no branding. Looked up returns policy - it’s on buyer to send back to China! Scrolled through TEMU and found same or similar items on there for less than a tenner. Don’t use.

I liked that the clothing felt simple rather than overdesigned. The shirt I picked works for regular days, casual dinners, and weekend plans without looking too plain.

Lovely looking website and company claiming to be based in the UK. Items ordered arrived, but were not as described (swimwear that was poor quality and nothing like the picture or description). Attempted to return for a refund and have had nothing but an ongoing saga with e mails back and forth offering me partial refunds if I keep the items etc. I have still not managed to arrange my return after weeks of to and fro e mails that have taken up so much admin time! Looking in to this further online, it seems that the company is actually based in China, so the customer has to pay tracked shipping costs back to China for any returns, which usually work out more expensive than the value of the item! I advise avoid!!!!

The summer pieces I chose were exactly what I wanted: light, easy to style, and not too bold. I would order again if I needed more everyday clothing.

I bought a few pieces during the sale and liked that they did not feel too trend focused. They are the kind of clothes I can wear casually now and still use next season.

Charlotte at Mercer and Loxley couldn’t have been more patient or helpful. It is really appreciated to have such personal and helpful customer service. There was no hesitation to assist in replacing swimwear that I ordered in the wrong size. Genuine, helpful and impressive customer care. In addition, the swimwear is really lovely. I think this is the best care and customer support that I have experienced in a very long time. Thank you!

I did have to wait a little longer than expected, but the final order made up for it. The top looked clean, the fit was accurate, and I ended up keeping everything.
