Excellent service - cannot fault it in any way with no pressure to go ahead or the type of lenses recommended! Mr Ankara Barua was absolutely fantastic in all aspects as were his team members. The whole team went over and above to provide excellent care and service with sensitivity. I’m so so happy that I was recommended here to have my laser surgery from which I am recovering well. I would not hesitate recommending Midland Eye to any friends and family looking for laser surgery - in fact I have already recommended some friends who are looking to have the surgery but have been hesitant. I had replacement lens surgery in 2022 and then needed YAG laser treatment in December 2024. All the staff are so professional and reassuring. Both appointments were painless, quick and have made an enormous difference to my vision. Prof Shah was fantastic and Sarah responded to emails very quickly . Would not go anywhere else !

Had my initial consultation with Mr Reuser and Mr Murray performed my cataract surgery. Everything was very professional and put me at ease from my arrival to completion.A special thank you to Carmen for looking after me throughout and all the staff for their support. I have no worries about having my second cataract removed.

Had surgery for floaters 2 weeks ago having been told by opticians/NHS that there was nothing they could do. Five weeks after initial consultation Mr Park carried out surgery and my vision is so much better. Carmen was fabulous at putting me at ease ahead of surgery and post op explanations, whilst the anaesthetist and Mr Park were brilliant - pain free surgery and post op.

Saw Mr Barua for laser treatment following Cataract Surgery in 2022. Lovely clinic and staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Also seen and helped by Mo, Kate & Owen.

Have been attending the clinic regularly over the past 3 years and would recommend it to anyone. Eye treatment can be daunting and everyone, from Rebecca on the front desk to my consultant Mr Park, is friendly and reassuring. I have regular eylea injections and it’s always painless and done in a couple of minutes.

Rebecca on reception was extremely caring for a very anxious patient. She went above and beyond to reassure him and make the experience a positive one.

I cannot recommend Midland Eye and Professer. Shah’s team enough! I had LASEK surgery in October 2023 after being recommended by two friends who had already experienced fantastic results with them. Going from -5.00 short-sightedness to 20/20 vision has truly been life-changing!
From my first consultation, Professor. Shah and his team were informative and incredibly reassuring. They thoroughly explained every aspect of the procedure, carefully checked my eyes to ensure I was a suitable candidate for LASEK, and made me feel confident and well-prepared.
The care didn’t stop after surgery—the post-op support was exceptional. The team ensured I knew exactly what to expect throughout my recovery, answering every question and providing detailed updates on my healing progress. Their attentiveness made me feel at ease, knowing I was in expert hands.

I had cataract surgery for both eyes in 2018/2019 and 5 years later I needed a YAG laser procedure for my left eye as it had gone a bit cloudy.

I found the nurse and consultant to be very professional and kind.

The actual procedure took 5 minutes and was painless!

I would thoroughly recommend Midland Eye.
