I've been a part of the community for 6 months now, and it's been absolutely amazing so far. I think it’s the best decision I have taken recently. Let me describe my experience in 2 sections:

1. Direct support: I totally revamped my strategy, realised where my skills and experiences lie through CV review and decided on the roles I needed to target.

After one of the many guest sessions (happens very frequently!), I started working on cold outreaches to hiring managers and founders. I got better at it by drafting multiple iterations and reviewing them with Karina and Rim in Q&A sessions (happens 3 times every week!). I asked about any doubts I had and got excellent feedback.

This is just one of many examples in the last few months where my jobhunting strategy has improved significantly due to the support I've been given within the community!

2. Emotional Support: The support within the community and through Karina and Rim has been a pillar in ensuring I am never lonely in this challenging journey.

The Q&A sessions have been incredibly helpful in discussing anything and everything, and I got a lot of emotional support for my struggles. Karina and Rim are the biggest contributing factors to this. Their optimism and energy are honestly contagious and rubbed off on me!

So, to summarise, I felt very supported overall in every possible way with migreats, and it is the primary reason I am able to continue with the job hunt despite severe setbacks.

If anyone feels lost in their sponsored job hunt and needs someone genuine, someone who's willing to do EVERYTHING they can to get you your dream Visa-Sponsored job, then look no further than Migreats!!

As an international student myself, I have found most such platforms a bit of a rip-off. There are ample people, some internationals themselves, who have identified this market and unfortunately exploit international students into thinking they have to be someone else to be recognised and hired. Karina and Rim don't sell that narrative - these are two people genuinely passionate about supporting international talent.

I have been a member on and off for a year now due to finding a job over the summer. While I haven’t hit my goal of visa sponsorship, I know that being a part of migreats was one of the best decisions I made in 2024. I was able to tweak my CV, learn more about the UK job market, and be able to get insight from people who received jobs with visa sponsorship. I was able to join a community of people in similar position as myself and know that it’s possible and not be alone in this journey. Rim and Karina really go above and beyond to learn about each and every member to get the help they need.

After trying out Migreats Hub for a month and watching the pre-recorded videos, I knew I could totally trust Migreats and decided to upgrade to Core. In total I was a migreats member for 3 months, and have just accepted my visa-sponsored offer!

I've learned so much from these videos—sponsorship negotiation, visa cost calculations, type of companies to target, industry-specific job markets, startup jobs and so on. And this was despite already being in the UK for a while by then. The CV feedback I received from Rim was exactly what I needed, especially since it came directly from a senior data analyst. There are no more than 4-5 people per session, so you will always have at least 15 mins dedicated to you, and it feel more like one-to-one coaching for a fraction of a price.

The invited speakers really make the sessions interactive, so always come prepared with your questions. You’ll get the chance to practice answering interview questions, reflect on your goals, and learn a lot about yourself along the way.

Of course, as with any coaching, a lot depends on you—showing up for the weekly calls, resubmitting your CV, joining the (pretty much daily) calls. But there is NO WAY you won’t get closer to your dream job and securing a visa if you stay committed and trust what Rim and Karina tell you to do :D

I joined Migreats during my Masters to help prepare myself to search for a sponsored job in the UK. The resources, community, and support from Karina and Rim was immensely useful. It was great to feel this genuine support at a time when I needed it. The resources provided (webinars, guidelines, templates) were super helpful in both building my visa strategy and negotiating during interviews. These resources really helped me be prepared for visa-related questions during my interviews and to be proactive ahead of the employer. Partly because of this preparation, I landed a sponsored role after my first interview. Thanks again, Karina.

Migreats was very helpful and supportive in helping me find my sponsored role. Karina worked closely with me to help identify which industry/market I should focus on when applying for roles while also guiding me on how to approach discussing the sponsorship with potential employers. I stumbled upon the founders on Tik Tok before the launch of their community platform- Migreats. The key thing I'd like to highlight in this review is that this service is almost modular and can be adapted to to different people who have different migration backgrounds and circumstances. This platform is for those who are about to graduate and considering how best to approach the employment sector with a 2 year grad visa. This platform is for those who are already on a grad visa and need help with negotiating with their current company about Skilled Worker Visa (SWV) sponsorship or finding another than can provide it. And lasty this platform is for those who are on a SWV who are looking to find another company to sponsor them. The services they offer are vast and truly unlike any other. From one to one coaching, lists of employers who are willing to sponsor and roles available to useful information and advice regarding the current rules and restrictions for migrant workers.

The Migreats team have supported me through my unique journey being on a SWV and navigating the job market for my next position. Migreats is a service, a group and a community of people I can depend on!

I found Migreats on TikTok shortly after being made redundant by my company. With only a few weeks until my visa expiry, I was desperate to find any sort of light at the end of the tunnel.
