Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Mintfares.com.
I booked international tickets for my family from Hyderabad to Halifax through Mintfares.com. One of the Turkish Airlines flights was cancelled due to Middle East airspace issues, and despite the agent advising me to go to the airport, no alternative arrangements were made. We had to return home without traveling.
After the cancellation, the agent did not provide any support or options for rebooking. Turkish Airlines confirmed a full refund, but Mintfares.com refused to process the complete refund and insisted that the Porter Airlines segment was non‑refundable. Under pressure, I was forced to sign a statement agreeing to reuse that ticket.
Later, I contacted Porter Airlines directly and learned that the ticket had already been fully refunded on March 26, but the agent never informed me. When I questioned them, they initially denied it and only admitted the truth after several days. Even then, they delayed returning the money for no valid reason.
The itinerary they originally booked also included a flight that had already stopped operating, showing poor knowledge and lack of due diligence.
After 25 days of constant follow‑ups, unprofessional communication, and unnecessary stress, I finally received my refund. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mintfares.com. Their lack of transparency, poor customer service, and withholding of refund information make them highly unreliable.

With reference to your review, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused by flight cancellation done by the airlines within few hours of your travel. However, we would have appreciated it if you had written the whole scenario instead of focusing only on aspects which favors your prospective.
We want to inform you that we did not provide any unprofessional service for your booking. We informed you multiple times over the phone that we must get approval from the airlines for any refund. As a travel agency, we cannot make refund decisions independently, and you were already aware of this based on your conversations with our agents.
We already told you that we were already working on your case with the airlines and as soon as we get the information we will update you but your lack of patience may be the reason that you felt the things are not going the way it should be. As soon as we got the information from the airlines we informed you the same and the refund was processed by the airlines.
Your flight was cancelled on the day of travel. We requested information from the airline but received no proper response because the flight was only hours away. That is why we advised you to check with the airline at the airport, where they were also unable to assist you. We kept checking with the airlines for an alternative option, but since they couldn't provide one, we offered you a full refund.
We checked with Porter airlines for the refund and initially they denied for the refund as the tickets were booked separately that is why we have offered you with the open ticket and later we got to know that the refund is also processed by the airlines for Porter tickets too which we were unaware of the same and we borrowed time from you so that we can check with the airlines for the final confirmation.
At last after getting all the confirmation from the airlines we send you the email for the refund details and it clearly stated on the email that it will take maximum 10 working days but again you kept reaching out to us every single day for the refund even when the request was also sent to process the same. There was nothing which was being pending from our end as we resolved your issues within the time line given by the airlines and we have processed 100% refund to you as per the airlines approval. These are exceptional cases that take time from the airlines and cannot be resolved within a day or two. Usually it takes around 02 months from the airlines to process the refund and you should be happy that you got the refund from the airlines with 25 days.
Since booking your tickets we have repeatedly received calls from you regarding various queries, all of which our customer care representatives answered promptly. We expected a bit more understanding from the customers side which we didn't received a little bit rather getting frustrated for each and every thing for no reason.
The airlines cancelled the flights, and the refund approval process took time. We supported you from start to finish to resolve your issue. However, if you still wish to blame Mintfares—whom you called repeatedly because you couldn't get help from the airlines—we have no issue. We cannot keep explaining the same scenario to someone who refuses to understand the situation.
At Mintfares, we strive to ensure our customers receive excellent service and trust. Customers who only know how to blame even after receiving regular case updates and having their issues resolved by Mintfares, do not earn this trust.
