Review for Miraculous Maids A MOSAIC…
Review for Miraculous Maids A MOSAIC Family Company.
Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
I recently hired Miraculous Maids for a "deep clean" of my home (under 1,000 sq. ft.) and was deeply disappointed by the results. Despite paying $550 for a home that was already well-organized and generally clean, the service failed to meet basic professional standards.
Service Deficiencies
The owner claimed three cleaners worked for four hours each (totaling 12 labour hours), yet the following areas were overlooked:
• Floors & Entryway: The kitchen floor still had food crumbs, and dog fur remained on chair legs. Most concerningly, muddy footprints in the entryway were not cleaned; instead, they were "hidden" by pulling a runner carpet over them. Baseboards at the back entry were not washed.
• Detailed Dusting: This was the primary reason for the booking. However, dusting was missed on mirrors, shelving, and small appliances like the coffee maker. Small plant pots were not moved to clean the surfaces beneath them.
• Kitchen & Bathrooms: While the appliances were cleaned well, soap scum was left on the shower shelving, soap and shampoo bottles were not even moved.
• Stairs & Bedrooms: The basement stairs looked vacuumed but were not washed, dirt was still blatantly obvious, and a large amount of dog fur was left behind the master bedroom door (again it wasn’t even looked at)
• Lack of Proper Supplies: There was no "clean" scent upon completion, leading me to believe that cleaning agents were either used sparingly or not at all.
Misalignment of Service
The owner sent "after" photos to defend the work, but these images only served to prove my point: the home was already neat and tidy. Since this company does not offer "tidying" or "picking up" as part of their service—focusing strictly on cleaning—the photos highlighted my point. The house was already in a state that should have allowed the team to focus entirely on deep-cleaning surfaces. Yet after supposed 12 hours of labour it was still not completed??
Customer Service & Resolution
When I provided photo evidence of these issues, the response was unsatisfactory. I was offered a return visit at 8:00 PM that same evening, which was inconvenient as I had already spent my own time rectifying the floors, dusting, soap scum etc.
The owner downplayed the situation as a "tidy" that would only take 45 minutes to one hour to fix. After he already reported his cleaners put in 12 hours of labour and yet they would need another hour on my small home??? No one needs 13 hours to clean a 990 sq ft home.
Compensation
I was initially offered a meager $35 refund, eventually increased to $50. It will be a last clean. This is an unacceptable resolution for a $550 service that failed to deliver on its "deep clean" promise.
A Note on Billing
I advise future customers to check their invoices carefully. This company charged PST on house cleaning services, which should not be applied. The owner did fix this on my invoice. If you have been charged this tax, I recommend requesting a refund.
Final Verdict: While the fridge, stove, microwave and an entry bench with lots of fur were done well, four items do not justify the high price tag. I would not recommend Miraculous Maids to others seeking a thorough or professional cleaning service.
Review on google as well with photos.
