I had a session with Laura in preparation for a GCSE maths equivalency test I have. Laura was very helpful in explaining quadratic equations to me. Such as breaking these down in simplified terms. Laura helped my son with algebra was really looking forward to starting sessions as he seem keen to start after his trial but then was told no availability , so disappointing as seem happy o go ahead seems pointless offering trial for sone one to show themselves then cent fulfill a personal thing tutoring and not all stufents take to to tutors straightaway so thought this was bit unfair

We completely understand how disappointing it must have felt to hear that there was no availability after he had built that initial confidence and connection. Tutor availability can sometimes change quickly due to demand, but we really appreciate you highlighting this and understand your frustration, particularly as not every student settles with a tutor straight away. Feedback like this is important and helps us review how we manage trials and ongoing bookings to ensure expectations are clear.
Were the predicted papers really predicted?
For A Level Further Maths, the questions did follow the spec, but Im quite suspicious on how they were predicted, because they felt alot like just copy and paste. The questions are far too easy, and the marks given for a question of such difficulty is far too high. Additionally, there is barely enough pages to do all your working, whereas in the real exam you would be given plenty enough and more. I assume they did this to save on paper but this is ridiculous considering I paid £20 for a set of paper and a (not very helpful) mark scheme. This can be dangerous to students who are given a false sense of security thinking that they will get a good result in the real exam. Overall, if you are looking for proper maths papers, use MadAsMaths, which contain much more helpful and intuitive questions + answers

Laura was excellent as a tutor - working quickly but clearly and making the subject easy to break down and understand. Exam technique was really important and she gave some hints and tips that are really useful. The resources are excellent and all help to deliver a great revision package.
