Website is stupid as f***. Nobody responds even if they show as active recently. No premium account. Only like 300 women between 35-55 in the US and maybe 50 elsewhere on earth. Support didn't answer 3 emails in 48 hours. Everyone here with 1☆ is correct. Just don't bother!
PS. I bet they answer this review quickly.
Website appears to be created for owners private use and for their own access to women.
Created an account six months ago, went through the process for verification and never heard anything back.
Sent several emails and contact form requests for no response.
Watch several new female accounts be created and approved, but don't see men or couples accounts being approved.

There is definite gatekeeping in terms of quality. Submitting your account for verification puts it up for review. If the instructions for verification are not followed or the account has anything objectionable, it will not be approved.
And yes, female accounts do get priority for approval as there are far fewer of them and they are more valuable to our verified userbase. Meaning, in terms of what does the most users the most good, women get priority.
I don't know how to be constructive with this. I have submitted my verification video three different times over the past 10 days and have received ZERO response, good or bad.
I have contacted customer service with at least three emails and submitted a new video, still complying with the instructions. I have received no response, whatsoever, whether good or bad.
It is difficult enough to find honest polygamy sites and people that genuinely want this lifestyle, but to have a site supposedly dedicated to a safe environment to meet like minded people ignore the customers is outrageous...

What it is with this site is you submitted a video of a hand writing on a piece of paper and expect that to somehow act as verifying yourself as authentic. Verification requirements are very clearly laid out, and you chose to ignore them multiple times.
Yet, your account was not terminated, as is the standard for failing verification. It has been now. We would gladly refund you except for the fact that you paid nothing and the site is free.
Please do not create a new account. I trust that you will be better served on one of the competing sites where you can be a paying customer and rightfully demand a speedy response.

I went back and reviewed their guideline for verification, there is no "show your face" clause in it, and I took a screenshot of their policy. I just cannot post a picture here to show everybody.
You would all do well to go to beyondtwo.com if you want a polygamy website for free...

What an awful site. Me and my wife join last year, and our account has still not been verified despite sending many emails per the owners' instructions. We gave up and finally deleted our account. We Wouldn't Recommend.

Account verification is strict and quality controls are in place for a reason. If the verification instructions are not followed carefully, an account will not be verified and approved.
Modernpolygamy.com is a waste of time, and just for me, I read another review of a user who complained about their account/profile was never verified, I have had the same issue, I sent out three different emails to the support team and never had a response back, neither account has been verified, the whoever is in charge of the website is or are careless about their users, and even tho the other user who complained about it got a comment saying that he probably didn’t followed the steps, well I have done exactly what he did, tv on on the background, writing and saying username and nothing, this is a waste of time.
Created profile for wife and myself as a couple on the site. Uploaded photos of us individually, as well as together. Completed profile and performed the verification process as outlined on the site. It has been months, and we are still waiting to be verified so that we can message any users at all. We also tried sending direct messages to the administrator's Reddit account and emailed support, but we never receive any response.

We followed the verification instructions "exactly" as they were written and made sure the TV channel in the background was neither controversial or anything a child cannot watch.
We aren't expecting to have any exceptions made for us, but we would also ask to not be ignored when contacting support about the status of the verification process.

As of now, there is a site sale notice being displayed on the modernpolygamy site for the sale of the entire site, reddit account and membership accounts. I also responded via the site contact form per the administrator's request with our username as directed in their response. As of this edit, our account continues to remain in the non-verified state. Based on this new information, we assume we will have to either wait for a new owner to continue support in order to be verified or the site will likely be taken down and membership will be impossible at that point.

Owner of the site is apparently petty and vindictive and would rather delete a user than correct their own failures. We will just wait for the site to be bought out while we search for an alternative.

Verifications must be done exactly as instructed. In addition, there is a notice that submitting your verification puts your account up for manual review. Not following the verification steps exactly, having something objectionable on your profile, or simply having a thin profile will result in your verification being denied.
The site is free. The only way we have to keep every spam bot and scammer off the site is with an effective verification process. This process will not be compromised, but we can not go back and forth with every person that doesn't read instructions before hitting submit or has something objectionable on their profile and wants to argue about their free account.
I am sorry we could not meet your needs and would recommend one of the competitors in the niche.

The user, as has been demonstrated here, has some issues of concern that are likely to cause discord with other members. After being sent their username to look in to the "issue", the account had not been approved as this is the not the right place for them.
Of the related dating sites, this site is the best. The least amount of fake profiles, excellent customer support, and the site seems to genuinely care about the users. I have been a paid member on and off for about 2 years. The site has a decent layout, but some of the features feel a little difficult to navigate. I like the way the user profiles are set up, and paid members have the option to have a video introduction as well. Profiles seem a bit more vetted, and site is quick to delete fake profiles, and are very responsive to reports. Personally I have been focusing my attention on this site, and I would love to see it grow.

I am not certain exactly how anything said warrants a 1 star review other than that the reviewer was upset that they couldn't get free access to write as many members as possible.
There is not even the claim to have had a bad experience, simply that it wasn't what they were looking for.
Premium members can message 10 new contacts per day, not 5, and this is stated very clearly before you can upgrade your account so there are no surprises. This limit is in place to encourage sending better intro messages, otherwise women get overwhelmed by "Hi" and low effort messages, end up missing the quality ones in the flood, and eventually go away. The more junk they receive, the more likely they are to lose interest.
Last online status is shown in search results as would be expected. We do not list "Online Now" or registration date for privacy, simply the day someone was last online. Privacy is extremely important to our members.
Regarding volume, this is not Tinder.
