Set up a scam Direct debit. Cancelled in time to stop the payments.

Just had a email to say I’ve been set up for a 5.99 a month subscription never heard or interacted with money cope have spoken to them and cancelled it waiting for the confirmation email and I’ve also spoken to my bank to cancel it too just to be on the safe side

Just got a email notification that I have a subscription with this company who also somehow had my bank account and sort code for direct debits. I have never interacted with this company in my life, never even heard of them. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Took money out with out permission fraudulent/ scam. reported to police, Bank and FCA

I don’t want to pay anymore. How can I stop paying …

Moneycope have tryed in the space of 8 days to take money twice from my account WITHOUT CONSENT.

Money stolen from account from Moneycope might only be £5.99 but it's theft, some sad times we are living in when we can't even have our bank.accounts safe!!!! 😡

Moneycope take money £5.99 from account with direct debit without my permission.
I never setup this. But how they did that.
I need help with police.
Now I m going to call police to tell them why moneycope did it without my permission.

Like others have said, £5.99 taken from my account without consent. Direct Debit. Seems to have occurred shortly after I went applying (in vain) to payday loans so please be warned, Moneycope must have got my details from them, but I can't say which one it was.

Will be demanding a refund and then reporting them to Barclays.

Moneycope are a scam, I have had £5.99 taken from my bank account WITHOUT MY CONCENT, some how they got my bank details, I have never been on their website or subscribed to anything, it was a complete shock to see money stolen from my account. They are scammers, illegally taking money from my account, I've not had any email from them to set up any kind of payments, I am shocked they have been able to do this, do not trust them.... totally illegal scam artists

Had an email which stated to reply to unsubscribe (I've never signed up for this) which was ignored
Since then I've had an email stating my DD has been set up - I've never heard of this company and certainly didn't give my consent.
Reported to my bank and will be contacting the relevant authorities regarding this clear scam.

I have been scammed 🙃 5.99 without my consent 😤 and they have set up a direct debit. I don't know how they got my bank account. I will call the bank today for cancellation 😞

They have set up a direct debit of £5.99 monthly without my consent. I do not know how they obtained my bank account details, but I certainly did not give this information to Moneycope. Nor did I give consent for a direct debit to be set up. I am certain of this. I emailed Moneycope customer services but surprise, surprise - they haven't replied.

I would suggest that anyone who has been affected by this to report the company to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

I have no recollection of signing up for this company's services and how did they even get my details. It's very alarming for me and waiting for them to remove the account they have created without my consent after sending them emails to do so.

What a cheek been taking money from my account seen April for £5.99 no one requested it all a scam calling my bank today money cope have some way of getting a direct debit from your account

Took money from my bank with out my knowledge twice! I didn't even know what MONEY COPE was until I saw it on my statement then Googled it

they took £5.99 from my account never heard of them they set up direct debit don't know how they got my details bank refund and cancelled the order.

I just noticed that they have been taking money from my account since 2022 l never signed up so annoying like for real how did they get my account how did they receive my email
