Monteverde Lodge & Gardens Reviews 

We absolutely loved every aspect of our time at the lodge. From the friendly reception to the wonderful massage, to the butterfly garden, it was a very serene experience. The best meal we had in Costa Rica was enjoyed here, with a top notch cocktail and service that honestly felt like I was visiting a friend of the family. My only wish is to be able to share with friends here in the US by replicating the tenderloin with coffee/berry sauce, mashed casava and portobello mushroom✨ Devine

Lovely lodge. People were very accommodating for part of our large group who needed a later start time for a tour. Rooms were excellent with great beds. Food was wonderful and reasonable in price. Also accommodated us with laundry we needed to have done. Our only regret was that we hadn't booked more days there. Truly unique experience.

Great hotel, great service, really good restaurant
We loved everything

We had a lovely stay in May 2019. Beautiful upstairs room looking into the forest, well maintained lush grounds, amazing pool, great food and fantastic staff. We booked a private cloud forest tour through the lodge which we really enjoyed. We drove our rental car from the coast with no problems. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Just lovely and wonderful meals

Warm hospitality and beautiful grounds. We have stayed here twice and it is hard to find anything that was not perfect. The room and outdoor seating were lovely. Excellent help arranging day trips and tasty lunches provided. Loved the evening snack brought to our room. More vegan items in the menu would be welcomed. Can’t wait to come back

Fantastic meal, the most beautiful grounds to wander and explore. Swimming in the most romantic pool amid the gardens was a highlight of my trip.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The location is in the wild, but close enough that we could walk into town without any problem. Our room was spacious and clean with a beautiful floor-to-ceiling bay window and fantastic view. The service, excursions and attention to detail were wonderful. The breakfasts and dinners from the restaurant were amazing. We coupled our stay here with a similar stay at Tortuga Lodge & Gardens and the service, including our transport between lodges was first class from beginning to end. I am a discriminating world traveler. I know true quality when I see it. Monteverde Lodge & Gardens is top quality throughout. Highly recommend!

Wonderful lodging, location, great service. Would highly recommend.

When I think back to my trip to Costa Rica, I always go back to the mornings in the lodge having a beautiful breakfast looking out at the amazing lush view! This property was beautiful and quiet, with great little trails to walk around.
The staff was also very polite and super helpful when we had a transportation disaster to deal with. They resolved our needs immediately.
I would love to come back!!

The grounds are private and well maintained and offer tons of wildlife. We had monkeys climbing on the atrium rooftops doing tricks for us. The food was delicious in the restaurant, the staff was very kind and the rooms were rustic and perfect for Costa Rica. We loved the pool too!

Monteverde Lodge & Gardens is a beautiful place in the cloud forest. The rooms are great and the staff friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. I would definitely go there again.

Comfortable stay. Nothing to complain.

The Lodge and gardens are a perfiic way to visit the mountaneous rain forest area with an expansive range of birds, insects, plants and animals to see. We wish we had more time to stay in the hotel. Excellent food, responsive service, and a beautiful facility.

In many occasions I had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful and excellent experience staying at Monteverde Lodge. The amazing green areas “gardens” provide the real feeling that you are in the cloud forest.

The staff has been always very informative and attentive to all clients (families included).

I cannot find words to describe the high quality of food just..... delicious.
