GEM to the rescue
Wife's car stuck in the drive and would not start. Called GEM who sent a mechanic within an hour or so who could not get it to start either. So a breakdown truck had to be called. A little bit of confusion requiring another call to Gem, resolved the problem and the truck arrived shortly after. It was not an easy job to get the car off the drive and onto the truck. I was very impressed with the way he managed it, and it was soon on its way to my local garage.
Within an hour or so later I received a call from GEM to
enquire whether all was well with the pickup.
Excellent service from all. Well done.

A win-win within a couple of days!
We recently had to call out GEM twice within one week and both times the service was excellent. My own car had developed a broken spring overnight and could not be driven so we had it towed literally round the corner to our garage. A couple of days later my wife's car broke down about 10 miles from home. In spite of very poor mobile phone reception in the latter case, the girl on the phone was extremely patient, persistent and helpful. On both occasions we received a follow up call within the hour to check on how recovery was going. Both garages arrived bang on time. Excellent service from everyone involved. Thank you!

Car wouldnt start, I contacted GEM and was answered immediatly. The handler was super and put me at ease by explaining the procedure. a mobile mechanic was sent to us and got the engine started,[low battery], he asked me some questions about how the car is used, mainly short journeys. the battery and alternator was checked and passed OK. he recommended a good run once a week to keep the battery fully charged. A1 service from GEM and A1 breakdown mechanic.

Roadside rescue
I have been covered by Gem for the past 3 years. 6 months ago I had to call due to a complete engine failure. The tow truck arrived within 45 minutes. However Gem customer service phoned 3 times to keep me updated and to check that I was ok. Brilliant service.

After only being with Gem for 2 weeks we had a breakdown, it was at rush hour and winter.

GEM breakdown has been amazing. I was worried when my car broke down for a second time within a month of the previous rescue (different issue) , that I wouldn't be able to make use of recovery again.
