I came very close to signing up with The Debt Clinic and backed out only after reading the contract carefully. Sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.

My representative was Muslim and leaned heavily on our shared faith to build trust. That worked on me at first, but the warning signs added up fast. Every time I asked a direct question about what would happen to my credit, he avoided giving a straight answer. I was also told the deadline to sign was only a few hours away, which left me almost no time to actually read what I'd be agreeing to. That pressure is what made me slow down instead of speed up.

When I finally read the contract in full, it was clear this is a debt settlement program, not the interest-free arrangement I was led to expect. Under this kind of program your accounts go delinquent, your credit takes serious damage, and that damage can sit on your report for up to 7 years. They negotiate lower payoffs with your creditors, and the gap between what you pay in and what they settle for is largely eaten up by their fees. My monthly payment was structured to total almost exactly my current balance, so it looked like a simple 0% plan, which conveniently obscured how the fees and settlements actually worked.

When I raised these concerns, my rep went quiet and effectively ghosted me. Throughout the process the agent also repeatedly pointed to their high Trustpilot rating as reassurance, which in hindsight stands out.

My advice if you're considering this: read every line of the contract, ask explicitly how your credit will be affected and get the answer in writing, and don't let a countdown clock rush your decision. Based on my experience, I can't recommend them.
